Hi, I'm Jan. :D I love Snape and Harry fics, and just mentor fics in general. I first started Potions and Snitches (P&S) as a safe place to find Snape & Harry gen fics without stumbling into Snape and Harry slash (aka Snarry, or HP/SS).

Fandoms that I like to read fanfiction of include: Star Trek, Star Wars, Kung Fu : The Legend Continues, Dragonball Z, Stargate SG1, Batman, Angel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like Gen and Mentor fics mostly. I love hurt/comfort, angst, whump, drama, raw emotions, and vivid descriptions best.

I know how to make and edit graphics, icons, and layouts (html and css). I am a master web searcher. XD

My dreams? One day I'd like to be able to run up a mountain effortlessly, or at least easily. :) I'd like to see Potions and Snitches host every single good Snape and Harry Gen fic there ever existed. I'd like to have people who post here get 100 reviews a chapter. I'd like active-to-the-bursting challenges and contests. I want the site to be a great, fun place that readers of Snape and Harry fics loved and knew as active.

Severus Snape never wanted to be an Animagus and the only upside to his utterly useless animagus form is that he gets to tell Albus Dumbledore "I told you so."

However, when Harry Potter foolishly ingests a confectionary offered to him by Fred Weasley, Severus has to employ any and all means at his disposal to avert a disaster.

    Fantastic chapter! I can believe that Severus considered letting Harry keep some chick traits. Would have been amusing to see. Maybe Harry will try another toffee and the Weasleys will try the other cures. Loving this story!

    Author's Response: Severus thinks evil thoughts sometimes ... but in the end, he does the right thing. As usual. Even though he hates it. So, back to irritatingly reckless stupid Harry it is ... or is it? Thanks for commenting!

    Ahhhhh!! Nooo!!! Great chapter! I am so worried about chicken, erhm, Rooster Severus though. He should of put a spell to warn him of anyone approaching him. I doubt he'll feel relaxed on the grounds after being hit in the head and attacked there.

    Great writing, great story development. Fantastically done, I enjoyed the latest chapter and hope that Snape will get out of this latest difficulty relatively safe. Thanks for the update and for writing this story!

    Haha that was awesome. Neville being clever, the poisoning and then concussion game... lol. I’m loving the cleverness of this chapter. Very amusing. Love your Snape. At least now he will have the rest he needs to recover. But won’t Harry wonder about his chicken? Thanks for the update and for continuing this story!

    Hahahaha!!! I LOVE it! Poor Harry. He must feel like his life is over. Hermione is too smart for her own good. I love your characterizations of the kids. Very well done.

    Cool chapter! I’m loving Harry’s growth and exploration of things, like how to write a letter to a loved one, or at least someone who cares. It’s great that Snape is taking it easy on Neville. Also really interesting to realize that Neville should know a lot about the properties of plant potions ingredients. I never realized that before. I’m really enjoying your story. Thanks for the update!

    Yay Snape! I’m really pleased and unexpectedly proud that he is putting aside his hatred for Black in order to keep Harry safe. The names of the plan, “A” for Albus, “B” for Black was really clever. It was amusing that he even thought about sending Harry off to live with the Chudley Canons as plan “C.” Cute. I’m really enjoying this story, and Snape’s growth of maturity. Well done!
