When Harry wakes one morning, he discovers a badly injured Snape in his living room, and tries to hide him. But Petunia discovers them and reveals a secret she has kept for thirteen years--one that will change the course of Harry's life forever, and Severus's as well. AU, pre-GOF.

Author's Response: Nope, not this Snape. Especially when it comes to his son and his ward. Harry and Draco meeting . . .just wait and see it's gonna be very tense and kind of explosive.
Author's Response: You have Draco down perfectly, because that's exactly what he feels like. He was the only kid in Sev's life and all of a sudden Sev has a son, and not just ANY son, but his chief rival. That really makes him nuts. And also afraid that Sev will like Harry better. He'll be finding out about Harry's home life soon. And vice versa.
Author's Response: He will, believe me. I wouldn't be surprised if he never touches a drop again. That hangover and Sev's temper was definitely not worth it. And Sev tries really hard to be fair even though he wasn't always in the past. He doesn't want to make an enemy of the son he just found.
Author's Response: I've had teachers in some of my classes give us "assessment tests" on the first day so theycould determine where to place us in terms of ability and reading levels, ect. I've tried writing with a quill too at colonial Williamsburg and it's a real pain! But the writing test is a way to help the Muggleborns get ahead and learn faster, which is why Sev makes them do it. Being ambitious, they want to be the best they can be, and so I would think they're grateful to him for it. I wa sso glad that Vernon was dead. I wanted to kill him off for ages. No, not this time. This time the Malfoys will pay for their crimes. I agree, Draco and foster care do not mix. And Sev knows it.
Author's Response: Yes, well they have a lot of anger to get out. They did and it's really sad. You'll learn more about that in two chapters. Sev taught Draco martial arts long ago, and he never intended for it to be used upon each other, only on an enemy, but he'll have that discussion with them next chapter. He won't be very gentle, either.
Author's Response: Well, he could have, but his mind was focused upon helping Sev save the shimmerling so he wasn't thinking about himself then.
Author's Response: yeah I might have to work that in for the sequel though. The shimmerling is one of my better creations, as you'll see.
Author's Response: No, my version doesn't. Yes, he took the Mark, but he was never a real DE, he never joined them except to spy upon them at Albus's urging. Yes, he heard the prophecy, but couldn't save Lily in time. Or Harry either.
Author's Response: Yes, it was marginally better for Draco, but still pretty horrible. Harry at least has Sev now though. Me too, I want a two hour nap every afternoon at work!
Author's Response: There will be. Draco really had it harder than anyone, especially Harry realized. I loved that race even though they knocked Sev down. Finally they're getting along and learning about each other. |
