I am an Eleventh Grade Student in Canada. I like Physics, Math and my Writer's Craft course.

    If Harry fairly reeks of Veritaserum he must really be soaked in it. Didn't Snape say in GoF that it was tastless, oderless and clear so that he could slip it into people's drinks?

    It was nice that Snape didn't just give Harry detention and send him back to Gryiffindor. Of course having him under Veritaserum late at night when he could b questioned is too good an opportunity to pass up.

    Harry really should learn to brew Drealmess Sleep or get Hermione to brew it for him. It would be much easier and than he wouldn't get hurt or end up in these bad situations.

    *Headdesk* I'm afraid I badly need to re-read the books. Sorry, but thank you for pointing it out. I'll go back and edit, with Snape's keen eyes he would probably notice it is his Veritaserum vial lying broken around Harry, the vial could have been an odd colour, so I'll change it to that.

    This is very 'fun'. I kept imagining Snape's expression and his thoughts as he was under the potions, creating the pranks and acting the pranks out. Priceless faces came into my mind!

    And I love the way that Severus got Umbridge to reveal her plans. Pranking and saving the school all at the same time! I'll admit that her plans did surprise me. I've never read a story where Umbridge wanted to be a Death Eater. Usually it's like Sirius said "the world isn't divided into good people and Death Eaters."

    That was amazing! Very funny, I can just imagine Severus's face when he finds out that he may never be able to open his mouth again. Sounds rather uncomfortable. But priceless. Especially since it's Snape. :)

    I'm glad that Harry's boggart was simply Ripper. There are some many more things that would have been terrifying to be stuck alone in Snape's quarters with.

    I liked your characterization of Snape. He seemed annoyed to have to take care of Harry, but at the same time resigned to his fate and leaning to cope with it.

    Author's Response: Yeah, I thought of using something else, like Vernon or Petunia, but I couldn't think of a way to make them into something that Harry would find funny. Plus I think that a young Harry would be much more traumatized by Ripper than much else.

     Oh Yay!! You made me so happy! I was so worried about how I wrote Snape. I was trying so hard to stay at least somewhat true to the character and still work him into my story. ;-}

    I can't say I agree with Sirius's actions to wipe Harry's memory, but it was very tense situation. And a very funny one, hopefully Lily and Sev never found out. :)

    Interesting fear, especially because the light is bright green. It reminded me of the light of the Killing curse that hasn't happened yet.

    It must be difficult for Snape to be a single father, Death Eater and Potion Mastery student all at the same time. At least he's got magic to help him out.

    Great story! I wish that the ending was happy and Severus, Harry, Lily and James were simply all able to live on in peace. :-(

    The light was reminiscent of the killing curse, and I wrote it that way on purpose. A bit of foreshadowing perhaps. 

    It is difficult for Severus to juggle everything as a single father, but I thought it made the story very realistic. Yes, magic helps a bit, but he's certainly not one to give Harry over to a house elf.

    I wish the ending was happy, too, but at least Harry has Severus now. Thanks!

    Hopefully both of them will have better holidays. Harry isn't stuck with the Dursleys and if his recovery takes time then Snape won't have to celebrate Christmas alone.

    And only Voldemort and Umbridge should have to be alone on Christmas. :)

    I enjoyed this story, it was very sweet.
