Nice chapter (the Dudley part of it, that is). Hope things will get better for Harry soon. Author's Response: You know...that scene with the Dudleys always stayed in my mind, and gave me hope for Dudley. I know that I'm not the first to have a remorseful Dudley, but I just had to include that in the story. I really believe in Canon that 'Dudley had an epiphany; he realised that Harry is a good person, and very selfless. I think that Harry saving him from the Dementors really had an impact on him; made him grow up and really examine his own culpability.
Petunia does tend to do that, doesn't she?
Thanks Ramelia, and I'm looking forward to your next chappie of Blame it on Dumbledore. Things will get worse before they get better for Harry...but fear not Snape and Harry will eventually learn to understand one another...and maybe a lot more.
Very nice story that needs a sequel. Badly. ;) Author's Response: Thanks Ramelia. I left Voldie alive, because I want to eventually write more of this uiniverse, or a side-story. I had to keep it short for the fest, but I got carried away with the relationship, and then I had to end it!!
I'm happy for Harry and Snape the grouch.
I will definitely think about a sequel. I miss writing the story now, and I feel that there are many unanswered questions.
I'm so glad Snape is finally accepting Harry, and Harry on his part finds out a bit more about Lily's relationship with Severus. Very, very nice chapter! Author's Response: Thanks, I love a Snapey-Snape!
It's not easy for Snape to talk about Lily...especially to Harry. That is a big sign that things are changing between them.
Thanks.
Good chapter. Author's Response: Remus is always the voice of calm, isn't he?
Concerned Snape seems impossible, doesn't it? But alas...anything is possible in the land of fanfictiondom!
Thanks Ramelia.
Author's Response: Oh yest, this confrontation should be interesting to say the least. Harry can't let go of his need for revenge, but perhaps he'll let go of this need, when he realises that he has Snape's support. Perhaps the need for revenge will lessen as Harry feels some of his gried and anger leave him.
Author's Response: Thanks. There are many mushy/hurt/comfort moments to come, believe me!
Author's Response: Yeah, poor Harry. Have faith. Snape is going to start seeing Harry very differently soon.
Author's Response: Yeah, not the greatest start, but hey Rome wasn't built in a day, was it? On Christmas Eve, an unwanted child is left in a manger and found by a young Potions Master, changing both their lives forever. AU, implied child abuse, neglect, possible CP, Sev raises Harry.

Very nice start. Author's Response: I know, I donate to every one of my local animal shelters and child abuse centers around the holidays. It's really inexcusable what they Dursleys did and one day they'll regret it. Thanks for reading!
Author's Response: Yeah, Harry will really be a handful, and it's awful to take care of a baby when they're sick that way. It really tests you. Glad you're enjoying this and this will also show Harry growing up, not just as a little baby. |
