About me:

I love to write and edit. You know those tests you'd do in school where you had to look at 5 different words and pick the correctly spelled one? Or "fix" wrong sentences? I loved those. ;-)

I've always got numerous stories in the works. I absolutely adore music. It's right up there with oxygen.

There is a strange creature loose in the castle. What could it be? Where did it come from? Snape, one of the few people seemingly immune to the creature, must find out before it kills his newly adopted son.

I'm not a trekkie, but this is an interesting start to a new story!

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more! :-)

    Author's Response:

    Thanks! I'm glad you're liking it! :D

For four years Harry Severus Potter has gone to school in the shadow of his secret father… the one everybody whispers behind his back about. For four years, said father has ignored him, and encouraged his second son Kenai to taunt, pick on, and bully Harry. They all look alike, but none are so much the same… or are they more alike than they think? Harry is finding unlikely allies and friends in all the wrong places.

Maybe I just missed something, but Harry kinda lost me when he started talking about being Kenai's brother in class. I didn't really understand why he did that. Seemed kind of pointless and stupid, on his part.

Hermione I think you write well, and it's interesting to see this nice Draco. I liked that Harry went to the the hospital wing instead of Potions, and that Madame Pomfrey seemed to understand.

    Poor kid.

    Next chapter!

    Author's Response:

It was pretty pointless on his part to try to protect him at all, but he did it regardless (he's sort of foolhardy sometimes), and once he was into it, he felt he might as well inform this new teacher that they were related (after all, everyone else knows).  It's a touchy subject for Harry, as we'll come to find, to not be acknowledged by people as part of the Snape family.

    Thanks for the review.

Ouch, poor, poor, Harry. I'm not sure how I feel worse for him. Because of his injuries or because the scene with Snape and the duffel bag. That was especially sad.

I laughed though when he got the new jersey. I would have loved to see Snape's face then!

    Good chapter. :-)

Haha, Harry wanting to appear manly around Ginny was hilarious and adorable too. I could totally see him doing that.

Draco is really making me laugh now too, cause it seems like he's always popping up from behind suits of armour and statues. Hee, hee.

So Harry is trying to protect his brother from detention? I don't know why... Is it to try and get in good with his dad?

Kenai is a jerk, but I supposed he learned from the best, and that would be Snape. Does it bother him that Harry is named after Severus?

I'm really interested in hearing more about their pasts and how things got to this point.

Looking forward to the next chapter. :-)

    Author's Response:

No, I think for the most part Harry is done trying to get in good with his dad, but he himself is not always sure of his motives at this point when it comes to his family, regardless of how they act towards him.  Remember, when Harry was younger he tried to get in good with them and was shot down, so he quit doing those sort of things with those motives.

    Thanks for your review.

Hindsight is 20/20, but when Harry's last steps into the forest set him back further than he'd ever thought, he never realised how grateful he'd be to have Snape there to help too.

I really enjoyed this chapter and the way you're developing the relationship between Harry and Snape. It's funny, sometimes they come across as their true age and other times, it's like Harry really is only eleven,

I'm very curious to see what will happen with Harry's scar and if all will go according to plan. Thanks for the chapter! :)

.....He left four words, four scratchings of the plainest truth in his life, either times of them.

    "This was my home.".....

Oh wow. That line really hit me for some reason. I love it. For only four little words, they certainly are moving.

The way Harry is experiencing everything over again, yet in a different way, is so interesting. It's bad enough to know deep down that your family, or those who should care for you, don't at all. It hurts even more to have them so clearly let you know.

I always enjoy your stories. The emotions, thoughts, and changes in relationships are so subtle. It makes the characters and their lives so much more real.

This was another good chapter and, as always, I am eagerly awaiting the next one.

This was by far one of my favourite chapters. I loved every bit of it. Especially the bit in the Gaunt shack where Harry asked Snape if he might've been his dad.

I've loved seeing these characters change. The pub scene was both cute and amusing. The old regulars in local pubs can be so entertaining.

It was so gut wrenching when Harry realised that people had still died. I just wanted to hug him.

I liked that the army cot and blanket were there for Harry. That's one of the things I love about your writing. You add these little touches that mean so much. I've always thought that, in writing, less is often more and you really prove that with every chapter.

Thanks for another wonderful chapter. :)

"Papers still in hand, he turned to go to his own room, picking up a quill from the desk along the way."

Lovely way to end such a wonderful story. I really enjoyed reading this. I enjoy the small things you show that makes us/Snape think of Harry, like his shoes in the corner.

Because I'm greedy, I hope you write another new story soon. But since you're busy, I will tide myself over by checking out some of your other stuff I've never read.

Thanks for writing another great story to share with us. You're awesome. :)

“They were good people to you, Mr. Potter. I never have said they weren’t good people to you. They loved you and care for you. Your father sacrificed his life for you.”

That was interesting. I don't mind that you didn't end it on a happy note. I'm actually very tired of overly sappy stories and enjoy a good dark one every now and then.

I particularly liked this line. Seeing it in the synopsis is actually what made me read it:

"They were good people to you, Mr. Potter."

That speaks volumes and I'm sure everyone can relate to that in some way. No matter what their age, Harry and Snape both have a good deal of growing up to do.

    Thanks for sharing! :-)

    Author's Response:

I'm glad someone liked the sad note.  And I agree overly sappy stories can be tiring.  (If you're on fanfiction.net, don't tell evil minded that because it will provoke her to write more dark stories. *laughs* No , if you like dark stories, she's good at mixing dark with some nice pieces.)

Ya, they still have some growing up to do, but at least Severus knows that you can have two conflicting points of view and still be friends/mentor/mentee.  But yes they have a good deal of growing up to do.

Your welcome and thanks for reviewing!

This is so damn disturbing. It's like a terrible scene in a movie you can't help but watch.

And your Snape... holy cow. He's so frickin messed up. So, so disturbed.

And I mean this all in a good way, mind you. I've never read anything like it. I'm going to have to read the next chapter.

Author's Response: Snape was meant to be disturbed. Next chapter is up.
