I love to write and edit. You know those tests you'd do in school where you had to look at 5 different words and pick the correctly spelled one? Or "fix" wrong sentences? I loved those. ;-)

I've always got numerous stories in the works. I absolutely adore music. It's right up there with oxygen.

    This story was recommended to me several times, so I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did. It's a great story you've got here with well done character development. I usually prefer more of that, rather than action and battles. You do a good job of balancing both of those.

    I will say though that if the story is lacking in any area, it would perhaps be with clarity. Many times in this story, as a reader, I have to get through more than half a scene before it becomes apparent where the characters are at (e.g. the infirmary, potions classroom, Snape's quarters) and what the setting is. Sometimes as writers, we overlook those "small" details easily because we already see it in our own minds. But it can actually be a bit jarring as a reader to start a new scene and not have a clue what the setting is and what is going on. It can really detract from the story. Anyhow, I just wanted to point that out.

    Overall, you have a very good piece of work here. I am actually already halfway through "The Gift" and am enjoying it very, very much. I'm loving watching Severus and Harry's relationship change and develop. But I wanted to be sure to leave you a review for this story because you deserve it. I know from my own experiences, it is nice to be recognized for one's work. Even years down the road. ;-)

    Great job and I am looking forward to catching up in this series of yours! :-)

    Brilliant. This was definitely worth waiting for! I loved it, there were so many parts here that just made me wanna cry. But I am a sap, so... ;-)

    I loved Harry's little flashback to when he was in his dad's workroom. That was really beautiful. I think maybe my favorite part.

    I hope each Harry can make it back to their own world. I love them both. You've done such a wonderful job at making each of them two unique characters. Again, brilliant.

    Just wanted to say that I am still really enjoying this and have to laugh every time I remember I'm not even halfway through yet! ;-)

    Also, I thought you did alright with the action and stuff. I am also weak in that area. I really hate writing action and fighting scenes. So kudos to you! :D

    Aww, so much to say about this chapter. The first part with Severus and his father was so sad and hard to get through. Nothing excuses his behavior to Harry (and probably the other students, too), but when you look at his sad childhood, it really explains his character as an adult and why he is the way he is.

    I LOVED the scene where he helps Harry with his tie. That was really sweet an just a great father and son moment. Sigh.

    Also, awesome about the Dark Mark going away. Yay!

    Dawn creeps me out. I wish they'd all stay away from poor Harry...

    And maybe I missed something in an earlier chapter, but it wasn't until the scene between Remus and Sirius that I figured out *why* Severus and Harry were getting dressed up and going out. It may be worthwhile to go back in towards the beginning of that scene and clear that up.

    Anyhow, great chapter! But if you'll excuse me, ya left off with a terribly suspenseful cliffie, so I need to go read that now. ;-)

    Great chapter! I'm glad that Harry an Severus are taking a holiday together, they need it.

    Augh, I should've known the conversation between Sirius and Harry wouldn't go well. And poor both of them. There sure are a lot of hurt feelings going around.

    One thing I'd like to point out is at the beginning. It reads: "...as soon as he was aware that they were no longer at the Ministry..." and then goes into a lengthy scene without any indication to the setting.

    I was just thinking that it would be a good idea to mention *where* they Apparated to, because the reader is left wondering this until Sirius goes into the kitchen to get drinks.

    Anyhow, I am enjoying the read. I love that Harry asked Severus for the headache potion. Progress! Oh, I also love how Severus has a total list of things they need to discuss! Haha, that is so awesome!

    Moving on! :-)

    Okay, this chapter was fantastic. You did it so perfectly, I had to say something. I can't express how glad I was to see both Remus and Severus buck up and do something about Harry. Cause whether he was aware of it or not, he really was taking advantage of his dad. Go Remus for pointing that out! :-)

    Anyhow, great chapter! I loved it!
