About me:

Hello from good old Virginia! I am new to the Harry Potter fanfiction craze, despite liking the series for over two years now (yeah, I was a late bloomer in that sense).  I guess you could say that I like drama and the hurt and comfort fics best, though I read a lot of other genres as well. My favorite characters of "Harry Potter," are: Severus (duh), Hermoine, Harry, Remus and Luna. Ron is all right, but tends to annoy me.

 As stated, I'm from Virginia, and have a Southern twang...even for Virginia standards (I was at work and a customer asked me if I was from Tenessee or Georgia).

I have beta'ed several of other various genres and would gladly beta someone's within reasons.  Obviously, I would beta American English, but I am studying British English and am comfortable with it so maybe later.

    ahh that was cute and so sad. My grandma...we're not sure if she has Alzheimers or what but she forgets easily and I'm often my mom to her.

    Thank you. I watched an interesting documentary on Alzheimer's, which was the inspiration for this story; it is, indeed, a tragic disease and I thought it'd be an interesting twist on the challenge idea to write Severus as suffering from the condition. I've always thought that it's especially important for writers to try to tackle subjects like this because a. it raises awareness and b. it can be cathartic for people whose lives have been touched by similar conditions: I knew someone who has MS and, while he was mentally alert, the symptoms of his condition meant that the formerly articulate, erudite man found conversation difficult.

    awww that was sweet. I've always thought Lily was a brat for not forgiving Severus. Yes, he made a mistake that he should never have, but he sincerely apologized several times. If they'd stay'd friends then she could have helped him avoid the darkness he was surrounded in Slytherin. She forgave The Mauruders who did worse acts but had no forgiveness in her heart for a best friend from childhood. The shame....sorry tangeant, I really liked this chapter, and IF the duo is reaged then Hermoine will be mortified! I'll be honest, I don't typically like deaging stories, only a couple exceptions and this is one of those brillant ones.
