About me:

Greetings from Virginia! I began reading Harry Potter fanfiction in 2006, and P&S is my favorite site by far! As a writer, I just hope that my readers will enjoy my stories. I always appreciate it when people take the time to leave a review!

My hobbies include reading (of course!), quilting, Star Trek (TOS being my fave series), and I've recently begun studying Esperanto online.

I love cats, although I no longer have my own. But 26 cats have shared my life since I was a young child, and I have a plethora of wonderful, zany, and sometimes bizarre memories! (During the pandemic, I discovered a wonderful YouTube channel in Turkey--if you are a cat lover, please check out the "walter santi" YouTube channel and prepare to fall head over heels with numerous cats, plus Walter the dog! Santi is the white indoor cat.)

Alan Rickman is forever in my heart. 🐢

Harry's compassion spells trouble when he switches places with Peeves and becomes a ghost, then Peeves disappears. Can Severus and his friends help him out, or is he doomed to haunt Hogwarts forever in Peeves' place? AU, godfatherSev, HufflepuffHarry!

I just love all the details about Peeves reentering the mortal world, rediscovering his long-lost senses, eating a fine breakfast. Then come the details about Harry amusing himself in the library, including his unwittingly reckless behavior in the Restricted Section. Finally, I loved the scene with Snape scrying Peeves. You've really put together a fabulous chapter here, and I'll look forward to reading the next one-- can't wait to see the confrontation between Snape and Peeves!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I had the hardest time getting this chapter done, and I felt like I sort of threw it together, so I'm glad you like it! I've also updated Stormcaller if you're reading that one.

Oooohhhh! You REALLY had me going during the poker game-- and I don't even play poker! I guess the most terrifying aspect is the fact that Snape could have lost, and Harry would be stuck in the hereafter forever. Unless... Is there any chance that Snape used Legilimency on Peeves to ensure that Snape won? I mean, you'd think that after binding Peeves to play honestly, Snape would've done the same, BUT Harry's very life was not something he could truly leave to a game of chance, right? *hopes that Snape wouldn't gamble Harry's mortal life away* Anyway, terrific story all through!

A very angsty Advent Calendar.

Terrific upbeat ending, made all the sweeter by the preceding angsty chapters! I was especially impressed with your interpretation of Snape throughout-- I suspect you managed to capture exactly how the man in black felt INSIDE, regardless of how he presented himself to the world. I hope he can finally seek and find some peace of mind, and yay for Harry and Hermione helping him out the way they did. Thanks for a very entertaining read!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Snape felt very black, no wonder after what DD and Voldemort put him through... and his own choices, etc. I am very happy you enjoyed it, it was fun to write!

Third in the series Days We Learn From. In a darkening world where the war looms ahead, things couldn’t be more wrong. A new hand has been dealt out, and now Severus isn’t well, and this he knows. But what is it that is causing the fainting spells, and how long can he keep this a secret from his two adopted sons, Harry and Draco? More importantly, with the Dark Lord still furious over the discovery of Severus as a spy, how long can the little family continue to escape his clutches?

Can't read through the blur of my tears...

Author's Response: Well ... that's how I meant the chapter to be! :) Thanks for the review!

A mysterious wizard gives Harry a special gift--a gift meant to be shared with others. Whom will he choose to give the gift of peace? Just a short Christmas piece to celebrate the season.

Wonderfully sweet! A true sugarplum of a Christmas story! I loved the whole thing, but especially the interaction between Harry and the mysterious wizard, as well as Snape's warm slew of memories. (You do realize this begs a followup chapter...!) Thanks for the early Christmas gift! :-)

Harry Snape is in trouble twelve days before Christmas for misbehaving in school...will his Holidays go as planned, or has he mucked it all up with his father?

Thoroughly enjoyed the story throughout, although my fave chap title HAS to be: "We're a Couple of Misfits"! I absolutely burst out laughing when I read that! Way to go! Overall, I loved the ongoing relationship between Snape and Harry, and the journal was a terrific means of fostering communication/understanding between the two. Thanks for a wonderful Christmas treat! :-)

Author's Response: Thanks! There will be like three more chapters... I will hopefully get at least one posted tomorrow... I have internet issues which are hopefully resolved then:)

I really wanted to answer Kai's 12 Days challenge, but had to settle for something much simpler. So here are twelve fluffy, cliched, drabble length scenes each containing at least one Christmas song/carol.

Glittering Snape, Fang the donkey (!), the DRUM, and a Christmas kiss! I love your special little details! The DRUM made me laugh out loud! I can just IMAGINE! Thanks so much for such a fun Yuletide tale! :-)

Author's Response: Thank you! It makes me happy to know that you enjoyed it.

Every year on Christmas, Harry wants to hear the story of how he arrived at Spinner's End... in a box.

Oh, whoa... That kinda made my hair stand on end, although Harry is obviously quite alive and well now! Fascinating start-- can't wait to see what you have in store! Loved the floating 4-year-old and the reference to caterwauling carolers! (Confundus through the keyhole--HA!) And so cute that Severus helped decorate the biscuits-- shows a good relationship between them!

    Author's Response:

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I think the fact that he's not constantly observed by hundreds of students allowed Snape to be more relaxed and drop the "evil bat" persona once in a while... and of course Harry helped a lot, simply by being himself! Actually, I was tempted to include floating Harry in an extra scene... I could just see him all eager to help and creating chaos in the process!

Thank you very much for reviewing!

"The End" kind of took me by surprise-- I'd thought there might be another chap or two! The stale fruitcake comparison was POWERFUL-- horrifyingly so, given the context. But the story does have a happy ending, and I especially like the fact that Harry seems fairly well adjusted and can accept the story of his arrival (at least as much as he knows for the time being), to the point that he laughs off the idea of his not being able to fit back in the box now. Also, I love the way Sev likens Harry's arrival to receiving a Christmas gift, so different from Petunia's attitude. Really well done!

    Author's Response:

I know what you mean; I was thinking about adding a few more chapters about Harry settling in, but then I decided to keep it short-ish, and not turn it into a longer tale. I may do some one-shots in this universe, though!

I'm glad you enjoyed the comparisons - thank you very much, and thank you for taking the time to review!

Sequel to "Snape's Memories". A story based in the "Snape's Memories" timeline. It begins in the Christmas during the Deathly Hallows.

A holiday tale.

Oh, boy-- a biography! Do we get to "read" it? And I have to wonder who wrote it! If the answers aren't in the next chap (but I hope they are), it's something to consider for the future chaps! Really enjoying this so far!
