I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter!

Severus Snape is my hero and favorite character by far. I have never forgiven J.K. for killing him off. I love to see him as a father figure to Harry. (Who needs James Potter? Not me!)

There are few pairings that I won't read about, but for some reason I cannot abide Ginny Weasley, unless she is a villian. I like her that way. Though that doesn't mean that I won't read fics with her as the love interest, it's just not my preference. Truth is that I adore reading and my tastes are rather eclectic, so bring on the stories, because I'm ready to review!

I have just started my first attempt at a Harry Potter fanfic and I hope that everyone will enjoy it. I welcome all constructive critism and any advice given will be noted.

    I know that Severus is angry, but if he knew his son at all, he would know that this would drive Harry away. Harry thinks that he has lost, not only his trust, but his love. It should have been Severus, not James, that spoke to Harry. This is a family issue and should have stayed IN the family. Bringing James, an outsider, in only widened the chasm that was forming and pushed Harry further away. Then to make things worse, they didn't actually deal with Harry's impassioned pleas for his father to show him that he did love him. Harry wasn't really pleading to be beaten, he just wanted to be acknowledge by the man, who's love he was begging for. Why didn't Severus say something...anything? And why did Thadeus just give Harry a potion and send him to bed? Harry's depression should have been dealt with. He is an extremely sensitive boy and yet, he was just simply sent to bed. At the very least, his mother should have spoken to him. Then to make things worse, they didn't make sure that the children couldn't hear their arguing. Now Harry feels that he has ruined everything and in an attempt to (in his mind) rectify his wrong has run away. I'm guessing that Harry used accidental magic to apparate in his panicked attempt to get away. Maybe now, Severus will realize just what HE has done to his son. Harry made a mistake, yes, but he didn't deserve to be shunned by his father.

    Wow, are you related to Poppy or Minerva? I would give your review to Severus, but at the moment he is panicking too much about his son vanishing in front of his eyes and dealing with a huge amount of guild. So have faith in him, He is not a hopeless case.

    To the rescue of the other members of the family I can only say that they know Severus and tried to speak with him and therefore send Harry into his bed.  I especially didn't let them tell him "You have to understand him, he can't change how he reacts" because that is the worst and stupiest you can say to a kid in that moment. Thadeus just gave a him a too light potion. I just imagined you telling my father all what you had to say in this review. I would love to see his face, The problem is people like him and Severus in this chapter (and the last) don't realize that they are wrong. Nothing you said would have really changed anything ,but it felt quite good to read it nevertheless. I can assure you that Severus is a good fathe,r and he will realize his mistake and make it all good again. Happy little ending is in view and your angry little soul will be calmed in the next chapter. Just be patient!

    I'm glad that they found Harry quickly and that it seems that he will be alright. It's good that Severus has finally realized just how damaging his behavoir was. I hope that he will never use shunning as a punishment again, no matter how angry he is.

    Ahh...good ol' Vicks! At least that's what the Mucus Cream reminds me of. Smells horrid and burns, but it does help. I'm sure that Harry will be up and about in no time.

    It's good to see the family once again functioning. I hope that nothing like this will happen again.

    Oh no! Did Harry forget his potion? I hope that they will be able to get help to him really quickly.

    I'm glad that Draco understands. Harry really had no choice and did his best to lesson the trouble that they all got into. Hopefully, in the future they will be more careful.

    I'm glad that Harry did the right thing and told his father of his forgetfulness. Sometimes, it's the really small things that show that you have truly discovered what it is to have trust in your family members. To those outside of their family, this trust might not seem like a big thing, but to the Snapes, it is a sign that all will be well.

    The party was lovely and I'm happy that Harry enjoyed himself. I hope that he will have many more joyful experiences with his new family in the future.

    Great story! I hope to see a continuation of this lovely universe some time in the future. Until then, I will enjoy the other stories that you have decided to share with us.

    Yes, it was a special moment when Harry decided to not hide it and tell Severus about it.

    I already have a small kind of sequel up on fanfiction(dot)net. It's called "For the love of his life". The real sequel will come in the late summer or autumn.

    It's so cute that Harry is calling Severus "Daddy". I know that Severus isn't comfortable with it yet, but I feel that in time he will be able to appreciate that 'connection'. It's clear that he is already beginning to like having Harry around, if only for company.

    I'm glad that Mike feels that Harry could have a full physical recovery. I hope that he is right.
