It was the summer of love . . . er, no, not really. Left waiting for the Dursleys, Harry is found by the last person he'd expect to see. Written for the Summer Fic Fest 2015.

Good chapter! Thanks for updating.
Great update. Harry makes a wish on a glow-in-the-dark star sticker that his teacher gave him on his last day of school before summer break.

In any case, this was a wonderful and rather sweet first chapter; looking forward to reading the rest! Author's Response: Mrs. Adams might have been a squib. Perhaps. She was one of those teachers who sees and knows and just cares. I like the idea of a portkey-like-thing created for Harry. Something to ponder for a future fic that may or may not be written. Thank you so much. I wasn't sure how this would all come together, and am glad to hear that it turned into a nice first chapter. :-)
Author's Response: I am glad that you like how this worked out. I think, sometimes, different wishes can come together and make something bigger than they can as individual wishes. I am happy that you are happy. :-D
Totally in love with your portrayal of this little family. It's just so wonderful - even how Severus and Sirius still don't quite get along but somehow do at the same time - absolutely well-portrayed. Bravo. Author's Response: I do ship these guys, but wasn't sure if others would appreciate it, so I leave that up to the reader to interpret. I am very happy that you caught those little nuances of touch -- for some reason the muse insisted on them, even though I tried hard to keep it gen. I didn't want to be overt with the relationship, though, in my head, it was there. I was hoping that the characters wouldn't come across as OOC, given who I was gathering together be Harry's new family. I think that Sirius and Severus will always feel a little animosity for each other. THANK YOU!
Love it, love it, love it! 10/10! Author's Response: Thank you so much. I am happy that you enjoyed this. :-) I did enjoy writing for this little family, and if the muse is so inclined, I wouldn't mind writing more for them. Thank you for all of the wonderful feedback. It has made my day, and refreshed me as well. This is my contribution to the Summer Ficfest. This short story will chronicle Harry's summers from birth to the summer after fourth year (maybe longer not certain).

Author's Response: Yeah, it is kind of sad... But to call him poor Harry is incorrect. He's a strong child, he doesn't need pity :o
Author's Response: Well, it wasn't like it was unexpected. Harry will adapt. Instead of calling him poor though, you should call him strong. I hate it when people give a pitty party for the boy. He's not fragile or broken. Instead of pitying him we should concentrate on the fact that he survives it all without any real damage. Not that I'm saying his childhood isn't sad, it is, but he'll come out of it stronger.
Finally, something is looking up in Harry's life. Looking forward to future snapshots. Author's Response: Yes it is, but that's what I love about Harry. He is strong, much stronger than most give him credit for. It's what I always try to point out in my stories. :)
Author's Response: Thanks.. Wasn't planned... I did it mostly because Snape needed to show up for the story to be accepted for this site.. Turned out that I actually liked it, having him show up like that. Author's Response: Thanks.. Wasn't planned...
