Oh, facinating first chapter; I love your vivid descriptions and the slow build-up to Harry finding himself at Snape's door. Vernon and Petunia's method, simply dumping Harry with no explanation, feels very in character.

Loved the interaction between Harry and Severus and Harry's surprise at Severus' humble origins. A bit risky reading the letter but, then again, Harry's always been portrayed as impulsive!

Very interesting; I like the way in which you've used Snape's standards (i.e. dressing for dinner) as an 'in' for him to discover Harry's abuse. His mild deception about the locale also seems very in character.

Wonderful chapter; I love the interaction between Severus and Harry, you've portrayed them very accurately and their verbal sparring feels believable. I love how you've used the clothes and the accident to enlighten Severus (and, of course, the latter has allowed Harry to see a kinder side to his old nemesis). I absolutely adore the line "Something dark and dangerous uncoiled in Snape’s gut". Brilliant writing.

Great chapter; I loved Harry's reaction to the idea of a new wardrobe and the interaction between the characters was very well written

Great chapter; I loved the mental collage of Severus' childhood memories with Harry's reactions and Severus' (outwardly) calm, efficient way of dealing with the preliminary problems stemming from Harry's abuse. Harry's comment about whether Severus really meant it about the clothes was very sweet.

Brilliant chapter; I love the way in which you're portraying Harry- his suspicion and mistrust are very realistic reactions in this scenario, as are Snape's irritation and confusion. The revelation about 'two boys' is intreaging but, then again, it might just be Severus and his father to whom she is referring

Great chapter; I love how you've depicted the optians offie and your portrayl of Harry's thought processes. I've got a feeling, though, that even if Harry explains himself, Snape's just going to get all the angrier

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9 19 Feb 2011

Very interesting chapter; it seems either Harry had finally driven poor Severus over the edge or there's some sort of spell at work here. I'm really enjoying the interaction between the characters; hopefully Harry will push Snape just far enough to reveal his true colours.

Sorry about your son: sounds like a nasty accident :(

Another really good chapter with great interaction between the characters; I loved the portrait idea and I think that the scenario you've set up would certainly tug on Harry's heartstrings.
