- Brilliant chapter; I thought Severus' reaction to Harry's praise was very sweet and definately in character; he's always been so undervalued that having a just complient would completely wrong-foot him. Although it is sad that Harry blames himself to such an extent, I thought that his feelings on the prospect of seeing Remus were very natural and in character, as was Draco's reaction. I hope that, in attempting to reconcile Draco to working with Remus, Harry will discover that Remus does not blame him for Sirius' death.

Thank you, Morgana! I'm happy that you enjoyed the chapter. There was a lot of emotional stuff going on here, with Harry and Severus growing even closer and Harry helping to heal Severus, with the Harry and Remus reunion, and Draco so traumatized. I'm also trying to portray some foreshadowing for future plot events (some action again!) with Greyback. It was kind of draining to write, lol, but I enjoyed it so I'm happy that you liked it too.

Great chapter, I enjoyed the Severus/Ron interaction, you're very good at hinting at various strands of the characters' personalities, giving a sense of complexity that makes your portrayal deep and realistic.

- I really liked Draco in this chapter; you've evolved his personality beautifully and really brought out the sensitive side we only see glimpses of in the canon. It's very natural for him to want to 'put the boot in' first, rejecting Ron and Hermione so they can't reject him. Well written, interesting chapter with realistic dialogue and lots of interesting threads.
Author's Response: Thank you! That's a really interesting point, Morgana, about how Draco would not want to risk being rejected so he would do it first...and one that I think is very true for Draco's insecure state of mind right now.
Harry has come into his inheritance. It is not all that he has hoped for.

- Very interesting backstory. I love the mythalogical aspect and it makes a lot of sense. (In my fics, I generally explain parselmouths as being the descendants of snake Youkai.)

- Beautifully written and very sweet. Poor Harry, it rather reminds me of Terry Pratchett's depiction of the reincarnated Abbot in 'Theif of Time'; the adult brain is there but the body, with it's infant emotions and impulses, often overrules.

- Oooo... Interesting cliff-hanger. I loved the way in which you depicted the panthers, they all had distinct personalities and I loved the subtle flashes of mythology. I expect Roo is from Ancient Egypt?
