Slytherin!
Based on the challenge Changing the Past by shigeki11: Severus and Harry have survived the final battle, however on the very night as Hogwarts sleep a Dark Lord from the past resurfaces and Hogwarts is destroyed. They journey to the past and adopt the toddler Tom Riddle in order to save the future. How much can they really change when some things seem destined to happen. Set partially during World War II where conditions of war exist; implied rape, implied torture though not of main characters (nothing graphic). Bad Dumbledore. Implied Dumbledore/Grindelwald.

Firenze and the other centaurs didn't rescue poor Harry that night in the Forbidden Forest when he came face-to-face with James and Lily Potter's murderer, Voldemort. Draco did, though. Struggling to cope with the attack and the fact that he nearly died, Harry learns a little about himself and regains something he thought he'd never have.

- I'm looking forward to the next story. This one was very interesting. Just curious, does Sev realize that his dark mark is missing? Will Harry ever tell him how, not bad but not good Lily seemed to be in Harry's dream? Will he ever date Sinistra?

hehe.... You're actually the only person (I think) that mentioned that Severus's Dark Mark was missing. Very awesome. :D I was beginning to wonder if I had been a bit too tricky with that. In response to your question, I'm certain he does realize his mark is missing. He rarely doesn't notice things. I'll explain something about it in the next one with the help of Aurora. :D Harry and Severus both will reveal what they saw in their dreams in the next story. I promise. And your final question, :D. We'll just have to see. After all, Gilderoy Lockhart is going to make his awesome appearance. lol. Thanks for the review. :D

Harry hides in the library on Halloween, trying to escape his dreadful memories of Lily's death. No one else seems to remember the anniversary of her death or care that he lost everything that fateful night. He is discovered by Snape, and to their surprise they discover they have more in common than they thought . . .until they are interrupted by a rampaging troll intent on destroying anything that gets in its way. - Aw!! This was absolutely darling! I'm in love with smart Harry fics, especially ones where he likes potions. This one made me smile. Especially when Sev protected Harry so valiantly and Harry botched up the name of Sev's spell.

I'm still not sure if I like Lena, especially if she is interested in Severus the way I think she is. Maybe I'm over analyzing or perhaps still reeling from seeing Deathly Hallows part two. That may be it.

- Good luck with Hurricane Irene there on the east coast! Those of us in the midwest are pulling for all of you out there.
I love the story so far, the plushie moment was darling. However, I can see where Harry is heading towards being grounded for the summer if he keeps investigating where he shouldn't. I doubt Severus or Lena will let him keep the points without punishment. Looking forward to reading more.

- Hehehe. I love it. I think I'd ground Harry if I was Sev and his grades started to slip more. In fact, when I was in grade school and high school one was required to have a B or higher to play. When someone got a C (84 down to an 75) that person was on probation from playing. So I kind of hope Sev does punish Harry if his grades continue to slip. Sports are not as important as school.
Great, now I have to find this other story of yours (which will be equally as wonderful) and read it! *winks* Now where will I find the time?
