You described Lockhart's sick little game very well, with the pornographic photographs and the scene enacting and finally the moment when he lost control. A powerful chapter, and very well written. When Harry goes back to school the year after Sirius dies, the unlikeliest of people start noticing a change in him. Revelations, new friendships and more brushes with death.

I'd say Snape is in for an awful surprise when he visits the Dursleys... Looking forward to more! Petunia Dursley is cleaning the attic and finds a previously unknown copy of Lily’s will. Ecstatic at her discovery, she promptly abandons her burdensome nephew, along with Lily’s will, on the doorstep of her childhood nemesis (aka, Severus Snape). ***SEQUEL "Lily's Last Wish" NOW POSTED***

Looking forward to the next chapter! Twenty years after the War, Harry is a solid family man who's taken in one more. In helping this damaged little boy, he finds himself thinking about his old professor, quite a bit.

Looking forward to more soon! Sita
Another very good chapter; I *like* how you write Dudley! It makes so much sense that he'd change his views on "freaks" after his parents declared him one. Looking forward to more!
So, Tim likes lilies and hates snakes... very interesting :)! As for Parseltongue, I agree that it shouldn't just disappear after Voldemort's death (the scar didn't, either!). It's actually a pretty useful skill to have, all prejudices aside.
I really like where you're going with this and the way you're including so many of the characters into the story, in a way that makes complete sense. Please update soon! Sequel to Days We Learn From. Severus, Harry and Draco are starting to establish their new normal, when day to day life is changed drastically once more thanks to a slight mix up involving a few potion samples. All of this leaves Severus dealing with a new troublemaker, the one he used to be! De-aged to six years old, he's a handful and half to deal with, and his adopted sons, Harry and Draco, will never let him forget it!

Thanks so much for writing and posting this, Whitetail! You're a great storyteller, and I enjoyed each and every chapter. I'm hoping to see more from you soon! Thanks again, Sita Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and all the ones you contributed! I'm glad you were happy with Sirius growing up a little. Thanks for all the encouragement, and you will be seeing another story from me fairly soon. It will probably take a month at the longest to get the first chapter up, as I want to plan it out a bit first. I'm very excited about my idea, and have decided to retreat from my bad habit of planning as I write ... Anyways, thanks!
I also like your Dumbledore; Dumbledore's often portrayed as cold and manipulating in fanfic, but personally I think there's so much more to his character. I love how your story shows this! The last chapter - no! But I am looking forward to Sirius making an appearance :). Post soon please! Sita Author's Response: I'm gald you liked Severus' confusion. I wanted to throw a little of that in there, as we missed out on what it was like to make that transition for the person being re-aged in DWLF, as it's from Sev's perspective. Thanks for the feedback on Dumbledore! I was sort of wondering how I did him as a character, so this makes me feel really cheery! Thanks for the review!
I was happy to see a sequel to DWLF, as I really enjoyed that story. Fred and George's "initiation" made me laugh, although I was thinking the same thing as Draco - they didn't lock *Harry* in a cupboard, did they? Because that would be just cruel... I'm glad they didn't; in canon, Fred and George's jokes can get borderline cruel, and I never liked that about them. And I do hope we get the next chapter soon; I can't wait to see what Voldy is up to this time... Looking forward to more! Sita Author's Response: How do I live with myself? Making writing such horrible cliffhangerst that is. I'm glad you liked the cuboard initiation, I was considereing not putting that in because I thougt people might not like it or something! I'm glad I did now. Thank you for the long review, I do love feedback! |
