Following the death of Sirius, Harry isn't sure what to make of the sudden appearance of a six-year-old boy. The pair form a bond, unaware they're half-brothers, and Harry decides to take the boy to Hogwarts and hide him there. To aide the boy's education, Harry anonymously exchanges letters with Snape.
A story of a how a young boy becomes a father-figure to another while their own father is oblivious of their biological existence. But can sixteen-year-old Harry give what he himself has not gained? Can he go an entire year without being discovered? Just how far will Severus go to find the writer of those letters...Or are some things best left unknown?

- I have to say that I really didn't like book 6 fat all, so I'm glad you're deviating from it for the most part. I'm also thrilled to find that Harry is focusing on improving and using his brain, even if only in an effort to keep Toby safe and close by. I really like how this is going. I never understood how Harry persisted in remaining lax and lazy, even in the face of so many challenges. He had to have more smarts than he showed or he would have failed out of school.

- I love the Toby/Harry relationship. They're really great for each other. I thought the revelation about Draco and the Marauders was brilliant.

- Toby is certainly teaching Harry a great many things. I guess we know who Harry's mother is, but I wonder who Toby's is? I liked this chapter

- That was a tense chapter, sort of, though these things needed to be said. I wonder, if Harry knows how much he looks like Snape, how the man himself could miss it...
