Following the death of Sirius, Harry isn't sure what to make of the sudden appearance of a six-year-old boy. The pair form a bond, unaware they're half-brothers, and Harry decides to take the boy to Hogwarts and hide him there. To aide the boy's education, Harry anonymously exchanges letters with Snape. A story of a how a young boy becomes a father-figure to another while their own father is oblivious of their biological existence. But can sixteen-year-old Harry give what he himself has not gained? Can he go an entire year without being discovered? Just how far will Severus go to find the writer of those letters...Or are some things best left unknown?

Well, I'm quite glad to find these two chapters all at once--glitch or no glitch. I enjoyed this chapter a lot. Poor Toby. I hope Harry pays more attention to him and that things warm up between Harry and Snape.

I liked the parchment idea, though it's rife for trouble *g* Poor Severus. I hope it keeps him thinking.

Wow, now i'm REALLY anxious for the Snape/Harry bit. I'll have to re-read this particular chapter when you post the next, just to clarify Dumbledore's explanation. He's never clear, is he?

That was very well done. I'm surprised Harry interrupted so much, mentioned James so much, or didn't ask more questions...but I know he was a bit impetuous. sometimes, no matter how hard we try, things just pop right out of our mouths, huh? Good chapter

Good chapter. Very confusing in a way, but I guess it'll all work out. I'm assuming that Draco is looking for a way to be friends again?
As for Death Eaters getting in--there's still Parkinson and Nott and I bet at least one of them caught on about the room of requirement. Also, there might be a way through the forest. Hmm...

Well, that was confusing. It must be me, but I have no idea what it meant. if Remus was lying to Harry when he outright asked, he deserves whatever ill feelings harry aims at him.

That ending was quite a shocker. I enjoyed the entire chapter, of course. Good work :)

good chapter but i wish harry would pay more attention to toby.
Author's Response: Thanks :). And perhaps if Harry din't have the war to worry about on top of everything then he could pay more attention to his little brother, but remember that he's only sixteen and has so much more to deal with than just Toby :P And he does pay a decent amount of attention, though I can't make note of every single one of them. Thanks for the review, though!

Excellent chapter :) Too bad about Mc Gonagall. She's gonna feel pretty bad when she figures it out. I hope she feels like dirt. I also hope Hermione learns to keep her mouth shut. She had no discretion at all for the longest time.
Author's Response: *grins* I think McGonagall has been listening to this 'verses Dumbledore too much . . .
