- Interesting! I'm really into all of your fic up here - I find you write a really realistically canon abused Harry, and you hit just the right note of damaged and resilient, so it's not that the abuse is nothing, but the Harry we know certainly doesn't go all wobbly and weepy that easily! Really looking forward to your next installment.

I'm glad you like my characterization of Harry - it's always tempting to make the abuse worse than in the books, but I find that if seen from a less satirical perspective (the way I see it, the Dursleys in canon are mostly satire), the abuse in the books is actually quite bad, and there are enough hints that it might be physical, as well.
