Because of a potion brewed by Dumbledore, Severus and Harry are trapped in their animagus forms with no memories. Severus, now called Shadow, adopts Harry, now called Viridian, as his own. What happens when Severus gets his memory back? Will he still care about his cub? This is set right before the end of Harry's first year at Hogwarts, although this is AU.

I do have a solution to the problem where Harry retransforms. I think he ought to transform to a younger age, around four or five as you mentioned. In that case, Dumbledore could not intervene because he is not old enough to enter Hogwarts. Plus, Severus could get guardianship of Harry by adopting him. Also, it would be better if Harry was younger so Severus can deal with his uncle and aunt's abuse as it's easier to deal with kids that are younger.

Harry comes to Snape's office to give him a Christmas gift. The wrapping paper had broomsticks and snitches scattered between trees and snowmen. How very predictable. Companion piece to A Box of Every Flavor Beans.

It's close to the start of the Harry's fifth year when he receives a mysterious letter on his fifteenth birthday. The contents, strange and confusing claims that his true parents were not Lily and James Potter.
This starts a series of events that reveals not only a fifteen year old guarded secret, but one that is much, much older. One that changes not only Harry's life forever, but Professor Snape's and Lucius Malfoy's as well. It's the start of something new where enemies become allies and allies enemies.

- There was little interaction between the three family members in this chapter and I admit it's disappointing but all the same, it makes me look forward to reading the next chapter even morel go far there has been little action and a lot of description but that only makes sense as we as the readers are getting familiar with the characters. Please update again soon! I'm truly looking forward to when all three of them are able to talk to each other.
