| Totally love all types of Harry Potter stories; crossovers, mentor, guardian, apprentice, creature fics, romance, slash, deaging stories, manipulative Albus Dumbledore. Trying to write my own story on FanFiction.Net, but haven't yet descided if I've managed or will do justice to the wonderful characters that were all allowed to play with even if we can't own them....sigh! Where once a boy of 17 had to learn to let go of his burdens, now a man of 18 must learn how to hold on when all in his life seems to go awry. Harry and Severus are still learning how to live as father and son, and Harry and Ginny are learning how to cope with their new little family as well. Voldemort’s terrorist attacks are on the rise, and Harry and Ginny are in more danger than they ever were, with more at stake than ever. Sequel to Letting Go.

Wow....I truly can't wait to find out just how Ginny will react to the wishing well? Especially in regards to all those that aided Harry; his father Severus, Draco, Ron, Fred and George!
But I must go back and re-read the stry "Letting Go", as its been a long time since I read that story

I'm definitely very intrigued by the beginning of this story...and I can hardly wait to find out just what Severus will decide to do? Will he manage to get away from both Riddle/Voldemort & Lucius's manipulations with his life & soul intact or will he be sucked into the trap!

Cor...things are certainly getting very exciting now that young Harry clearly has a protector in his new head of house Severus.
I'd like to think that Albus won't get away with the same shanigangs as he did with the canon Harry when he was sorted into Gryffindor, sigh!
But just who would want to send cursed letters to a 11yr old the day after he'd be sorted into Slytherin hose...its not like the boy had any choice in where he was sorted or that he knew anything about the house that he was sorted into past history....so what will the professors find when they investigate the letters sent to Harry....could it be Quinius Quirrell at the behest of Voldemort, or someone else?

I sense that Slytherin house will never truly be the same since Harry was sorted into that house. Plus if things go well with the truth about Harry's world view of muggles, muggleborns then old MoldyShorts just might lose his major stock of foot soldiers!
I happen to think that Severus would be an excellent guardian for Harry, as he already is starting to understand what makes the lad tick. Plus that type of relationship would be good for both of them, I think!
With Harry now being friends with Gryffindor Hermione, will he be making friends with anyother out-casts from other houses...for example such as Neville....(and perhaps next year Luna )?
Severus Snape comes across a runaway… the boy-who-lived to be exact, and drags him back to his home where a struggling Harry is surprised to find Luna Lovegood. Severus had agreed to take custody of Luna at the start of the summer, but taking on the boy who lived to be a pain in his arse as well? Harry is finding out quickly that he’s got everything to lose… and everything to gain. In response to the 'multiple challenges', 'this is home', and 'father to two challenges'.

Hm.....Severus, could get some of questions answered if he went and talked (cough)...interogated the Dursleys about how they cared (or not) for young Harry?

Absolutely brilliant the interaction between Severus and Luna. They do seem to get on well together, despite there very different person-alities.
Though I do wonder just why no one in the Order (or even Severus) even considered just "why" Harry chose to runaway?
Author's Response: Severus' thoughts in the first chapter indicated that he believed Harry ran away because he had his own selfish reasons. The Order assumes it was because of the events during the end of the Tri-Wizard tournament.

Absolutely love the portrayal of young Harry, because it just seems so true life! Almost as if you have either worked with children with autism/or know someone with the condition. Because this story has also brought a new level of understand of just young children like little Harry, face everyday of there lives...I'm really looking forward to finding out what will happen next?
What will Severus learn if/and when he investigates little Harry's family, the Dursleys? How will Severus react to what he learns about Harry's childhood within the muggle world? What will Albus do to the 6 bullying 1st yr students that vicious attacked little Harry? More importantly how will those Slytherin families react when they learn that there son's cooperated with Gryffindor 1st yrs & vicious attacked the boy-who-lived? Also will Severus, approach Draco's father personally about his son & heir's disgraceful "unmalfoy" thuggish behaviour...how will Lucius react if/and when he & Narcissa learn about there's son's recent behaviour...will he (and the other 5 boys) be suspended or expelled immediately?

I do wonder if Harry would be better of sharing quarters with Severus. It would show Harry what its like to have an adult to depend upon. Or if it would cause those that are bullying him to increase. Perhaps a house elf should be assigned to assist Harry for his own protection? Do think the teachers need to learn more about Harry's condition - because its clear that he isn't getting all that he needs at Hogwarts - along with a counsellor/mind healer. Definitely investigate the Dursleys.

I do think that might be better of with a one-to-one tutor for a while in order to aid him not only with learning magic but also how to cope socially, emotionally and mentally with Hogwarts. Especially if Severus was able to offer his assistance and emotionally support someone which Harry's clearly had very little in his life. He shouldn't be allowed to return to the muggles without them being investigated. How anyone can expect Harry to attempt to defeat Voldemort - there crazy!

Personally I think the school needs a full-time counsellor on the staff...and academic secretary to aid the heads houses with there work as heads. Definitely poor Minerva needs a deputy, I mean poor witch has the pressures of 3 positions and the paperwork that they generate (head of house, deputy headmistress & transfigu-ration professor) so she's a little less-hands on with her house. Perhaps Albus should allow the students to sit at other tables with friends/siblings when its not a feast ...introduction of more social clubs arts, drama, music, theatre (both muggle & wizarding), fencing, swimming (in warm weather), archery, keep-fit, martial arts, debate club, literature, football, culture, languages, dancing, photography? As all of these would allow those who aren't playing quidditch to be involved in a social activitiy that isn't necessarily sports related. As a health body meand stamina - which must be good for magical development. Compulsory muggle studies (updated) for all those wizarded raised and for those muggleborn or muggle-raised wizard studies this would perhaps aid those of each groups to be able to be able understand each other there might be fewer misunderstandings.
Also if both muggleborn, muggle-raised properly understood the new world that they've entered then they might in turn be better integrated within wizarding society as a whole.
As you can tell I absolutely love this story, because of all the things that it makes me think of what Hogwarts could have/or do to aid its students...without having to over-burden its poor heads of houses even further!
So now that young Harry's condition has been highlightened, does Albus still be believe that he's the one destined to defeat Voldemort or not? I really wish that Severus would tell Draco's father just what his son is behaving like at school because he's not shaping up at all!
