    Not because it was exactly evil, but more because she herself could not do it.

    that wasnt why she hated magic. she hated it because her sister and friend used 'accidental magic' to violate her privacy just because she had a letter from the magic world!

    than when she saw what magic was doing to her sister mind when she defended snape to her lilly was dead, she became a freak like how a undead is a freak of nature.

    to me petunia has every right to hate magic and lilly. not harry though.

    groan... i think it was a mistake for snape to not put harry in his place. snape is extremly good and harry would have no choice but to listen if snape made harry.

    you know i feel that i have to comment on some unfairness here. petunia dose after all have good reason to hate magic AND magic people, in at least britain, violate and harm non-magic people has if there were pets or bugs.

    after all dont forget that lilly and snape violated petunia with magic.

    as for writting style the only thing wrong i see is snape's internal decision making and reasoning on why he is doing what he is doing. a little more detail and deeper reasoning from snape would be pretty good.

    ughh why do people always keep beating down the dursley's and petunia? dose no one think on the why? i do. it is rather obvious why she hates magic. her being violated by something she had no defense from.
