Severus Snape was discovered as a spy mere days before the start of the school year. Thankfully, Albus had been working on a vague contingency plan for this possibility. It had been inspired by the question, “What would it take for Severus Snape to see that he was wrong about Harry Potter?”
The answer? Force Severus to go undercover as Alfonse “Eli” Hopkirk, a sixth year Gryffindor.

- I'd feel sorry for Snape, finding out he has to remain a teenager and all, but I'm too busy snickering at his bad luck.

- I wonder if the Felix Felicis is going to be important later. Although, the brewing cycle will take Snape past the time when he's still Eli, so probably not. My guess is that this is Snape wanting to do something nice for them before he goes away to be a professor again.

- In which Voldemort once again shows his massive entitlement complex.
Snape making sure that Harry's friends stayed safe will probably go a long ways towards helping Harry forgive him for the whole Eli deception, I think.
But, Snape, Voldemort is still right there. You really shouldn't be ignoring him at this critical juncture, even if Harry just died! That will make you just dead too!
Author's Response: god yeah voldemort's got a Lot of issues lmaoo! yup, that's definitely something i intend to have as a factor for harry starting to talk to snape again in the sequel (spoiler alert, oops) and in snape's defense, bellatrix is nearly as bad as voldemort! and she was being louder at the moment!

His father had spent his whole life trying to protect Harry from the outside world, from himself, at the expense of his own life. Now it was Harry's turn to at least try.

- An interesting fic!
Snape's hypocrisy is getting to me, though. Not just the fact that he was hopping in and out... and in and out... and in and out ... and in and out of beds and then accusing Jasmine of "being a bed hopping slut," (Howdy there, Kettle!) but then acting like she was a terrible parent and (and even thinking to himself "Who abandons their child?") when he was literally the one who did everything he could to avoid having to take care of his child. That's not abandonment, then? Calling Jasmine a liar and burning her letters instead of just making a paternity test potion?
But now that the Holly isn't dangerously dependent--now that she can feed herself and doesn't need nappies changed and is no longer at an age where she might get a childhood fever that turns into a seizure, now that she isn't waking her single parent up 10x a night and she can look after herself to some extent, NOW he wants to be a dad. Didn't want to be one when it was difficult, though.
Author's Response: Hello, thanks for the review. That's quite a comprehensive analysis of Snape's hypocrisy and I'm afraid to say more will come. So you'll have to put up with it a little longer before things settle
