Harry and Dudley are attacked one evening, and Snape is called to fix it. A child sized Harry, who looks much more like Lily than James at this age, was not what he was expecting.

Yikes! What a place to leave us! An enjoyable read. Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: You're so lovely, thank you so much!

It wasn't Severus' fault that Harry was allergic to Veritaserum, or that Harry had been sneaking around the dungeons after curfew. How was he to know the boy would react badly? Those were the excuses he gave to the Headmaster when questioned about his (questionably legal) actions, but Dumbledore wasn't buying it. Now Severus is stuck with the annoyingly truthful brat for Christmas. Wonderful. In response to the Faux Pas challenge by Alexannah. Rating for language is because of one sentence with curse words in chapter two. Rating for self harm is harm on accident on Harry's part. Short story, only three chapters.

What a nightmare for Harry, being stuck with Snape and being unable to lie. Amusing start.

But the Slytherins didn't treat him like a freak. They didn’t make him do their cooking or cleaning because the house-elves did all that. They didn’t smack him around if he didn’t do their homework for them because they didn’t ask him to do their homework. Harry wondered if maybe he was settling into the Slytherins too fast, but he dismissed the thought with a smile. For the first time in a really long time, Harry realized, he was happy.

No one had been shocked when Harry Potter- boy-who-lived, savior of the wizarding world - was sorted into Slytherin house more than Severus Snape. And no one, bar maybe the boy himself, had been more enraged when Harry Potter was taken out of the dungeons and placed high in Gryffindor tower than Severus Snape, either. Which meant that it would be up to one Severus Snape to bring his snake back to where he belonged, Dumbledore's plan be damned.

I didn’t notice any awkwardness to your action scene at all. Your descriptions are excellent and well above the average writer. They flow and add to the narrative.

Following the disasterous Third Task, Harry begins to notice two things about himself. First: his appearence has begun to change. Second: something is very very wrong. The Cruciatus shouldn't continue to be causing him pain this far out from having received it, should it?

Yes I enjoyed it very much too! I would think that social services would wonder why Snape didn’t have custody to begin with. It would be odd for a caring father to give up custody without a good reason.

This would be devastating to Harry. Seizures and no Ron and Hermione. Never mind the restrictive diet and recovering from the loss of Cedric. Talk about stress. Yikes. Good chapter.

I’m always happy to see an update on this story. It’s a favorite. Well done again.

Author's Response: *bows* Thank you, always a pleasure! Plenty more to come, let me tell you!

Another excellent chapter. Nott’s story was a surprise and added to your story. Is he going to be upset or suspicious about Harry’s survival? With a sibling who died while Harry survived, he could be interested in why.

Author's Response: Thank you! I don't want to give anything away, but Nott is going to have a rough time... :/

It’s ok to have other characters besides Snape. I enjoyed Remus’ point of view. I did wonder how Harry could focus for four hours with his issues. Maybe he’s hyper focused? I enjoyed your chapter.

Author's Response: Middle of the day to early afternoon: decent concentration and ability to focus. Mornings are hard because his potions aren't in his system yet. Late evenings, as the sun goes down, things... change. I haven't really touched on sundowners yet, but there will be a section in a later chapter dedicated to it. And man does sundowners hit hard. If ever there was something to look up, that would be it.
