Harry met Holly when she was two - abandoned in the park by her mother. Unable to leave her alone, he stayed behind to keep her safe. Over the years, they became as inseparable as brother and sister.
When Harry found out he was a wizard, he was happy to find that Holly was a witch too, and one day, she would enter his new world with him.
Finding out he was a father to a nine-year-old girl, Severus Snape didn't hesitate to bring her home. His daughter belonged by his side, after all. Finding his daughter preferred Harry Potter over him was a travesty the Potions Master was not going to tolerate.
Somehow, Severus had to make his daughter see Harry Potter as he did - worthless, useless, hopeless.

- Another enjoyable chapter. I find myself anxious for Holly and Harry to get to have a brief visit together at least. It’s funny. I’m perfectly patient waiting for Severus and Holly to get on the same page though.Poor Draco, he can’t seem to get out of his own way!

- A strange punishment for an angry person. Leaving him isolated and alone with his thoughts. I would think that even as an adult Severus would find it difficult to know that Eileen left him with Tobias and went on to parent a different child, even if it was his daughter. Part of him would be grateful for Holly’s sake but the child within would wonder why not me? An interesting chapter. I’m wondering what’s in that album…

- I think Eileen is mostly powerless, poor, and recovering from abuse. Dumbledore is coming from a position of great power. For me, I’m more sympathetic toward Eileen’s situation than Albus’s.

When Harriet Potter starts Hogwarts, Severus Snape notices she is unusually quiet and withdrawn. Thinking that she might be sick, he takes her to Madam Pomfrey. What he learns is much more disturbing than a simple sickness. With the ever-optimistic Albus Dumbledore being no help whatsoever, Severus decides that desperate measures need to be taken.
