Hufflepuff!
A year after Voldemort’s death, Harry and Snape have reached a brittle reconciliation with one another. Harry wishes Snape would speak more to him about Lily, but Snape is being stubbornly secretive and jealous of his private life. Harry’s own relationship with Ginny is getting shakier. Hermione has initiated a campaign in the press against Obliviating spells which will have unexpected consequences for Neville Longbottom, and the Auror Office is looking for Voldemort’s son, without really believing that he exists.
In the second part of “Spiral” Harry goes to medical school at St Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries and lives at Grimmauld Place in London with Ginny, Ron and Hermione. As to Snape, he is a multitasking headmaster who seems to turn up ever so often in Harry’s life.

- Not a very satisfying ending for me. I was hoping for a more positive outcome.
The year was 1988, and on one quiet Sunday morning in the early days of a blisteringly hot July, the Dursleys departed from Number Four Privet Drive. This, by itself, was of little consequence. They habitually went to church most Sunday mornings. Except... this time they simply didn't return.

- Since there isn’t a kudos button on P and S, I will just say kudos on this chapter. Harry must be so confused by Snape’s behavior. Hopefully Snape will clue him into magic soon. I had to google Steve Vai too and I see the resemblance.
Harry is tired of the abuse, and he knows that Voldemort would relieve him of his sufferings. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Harry seeks out the man who sought to kill him, and in doing so, endangers someone he never thought possible.

Harry blows up Aunt Marge, and runs away just a week into the summer holiday. The Dursleys are livid and downright refuse to take Harry back for the summer. Unfortunately, both Ron and Hermione have gone on holiday. Because of this, Dumbledore decides that the best place for Harry to stay is with a certain potions master. As one might imagine, neither one are particularly pleased about the arrangement. Draco, who is also staying with Professor Snape this summer, is of course not happy with this, at least not to begin with.
As always, when Harry Potter is involved, nothing works out quite as intended. Can the three of them learn to get along? And what happens when Snape’s punishment causes a rather unexpected accident?

- Hopefully Snape will continue to observe Harry’s injuries and actually heal him. Two 3 year olds will be a challenge for him. Enjoyable chapter again
Uncle Vernon’s acting weird, and Snape has designs on making Harry the most obedient student Hogwarts has ever seen. Harry just wants a quiet summer to himself and to earn the money he needs for his school supplies, but he could only hope for something so simple. Entry into the Bingo Card Fic Fest.

- Poor Harry. The Dursleys would be soul crushing in real life. An excellent chapter. I would be completely bummed with all that extra work, especially for a field I didn’t plan to work in.
