- So happy to see this chapter! It was well worth the wait. I especially enjoyed Harry's conversations with Snape and McGonagall. You did a great job as usual with a perfect mix of cannon and not, and you manage to keep everyone in character.
Author's Response:
The hardest part of this story is trying to maintain that balance between canon and AU. I don't want to drag down the story too much with reminding readers what happened but need to let them know what didn't change. I do my best to stay true to the characters we love. For me, if the people are too out of character, I tune out since they aren't really the characters I came to care about.

- Good chapter! I really like that Snape is taking a special interest and shows some responsibility for Harry even though he isn't in his house. Would love to see more Harry and Snape interaction. Good job and I'm excited for the next chapter!

- Another great chapter! I really like what you are doing with the story and how it subtly deviates from cannon. I can't wait to see how it will all play out in the end, although I'm a little scared too that it might be really emotional. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing your talent and time.

- You are quicker with your updates than what I am with my reviews. Another awesome chapter that had me at the edge of my seat. I was surprised that we didn't hear anything else about the quill and Umbridge. Did Snape take care of it, or did he not realize what had happened when he saw Harry's hand?
I can't wait for the next update!

- Oh, I'll definitely keep my Kleenex ready as it gets closer to the end. Another very enjoyable chapter. Great job! I'm excited to see how the summer pans out, if we'll get to see some more Snape intervention and where Harry will end up when he leaves the Dursleys. Snape's house might be too much to hope for, but that would be awesome.

- This was one of my favorite chapters so far. I love the complex relationship that you are creating between Harry and Snape. The trust Harry has in Snape is so sweet. I loved the scene when he showed at his door in the middle of the night. Great job on the story so far and I look forward to seeing how it develops.

This was a fun one to write. The relationship between Harry and Snape is a tricky one. It'll get even more complicated as the books progress.

- That was great and nice to see a quick update. You had me at the edge of my seat the whole chapter waiting to see where Harry would be sorted. I loved it, although I'm a little sad he didn't end up in slytherin. I can't wait to see how his first season potions lesson goes. The angst/ drama/suspense is right on. Great job!
