Hi everybody,

Welcome to the profile of Blackpanther, also known as Blackpantherprince on fanfiction.net. As you might have guessed, I love cats, and if Professor Severus Snape was an animagus, I imagine him as a black panther.

Reading and writing is my passion, although writing in English is quite new to me, since English is not my native language. As you all, I am in love with the Harry Potter books and my absolute fav character is Professor Severus Snape, besides Harry himself, of course, and Remus is pretty cool too.

Besides HP, Tolkien's works and the Narnia series also belong to my favorites, although as far as fanfiction is concerned, I am mostly into the world of HP. I suppose it has something to do with my wish for a happier end for our dear old Potions Master, as well as a happier childhood for Harry, and I love to explore the complex relationship between them.

"The Prince Tale" in the end of the final novel is to me one of the most touching pieces of literature that I have ever read, and I cried when Severus died, far too young. I first got acquainted with the Harry Potter world by reading a review in my daily News Paper just before the first book came out (in English). I have read all 7 HP novels in English, because I had not the patience to wait for the translations in my native language, and my firm opinion is that you should preferably read a work in its original language, if possible, as a translation always involves interpretation.

I also enjoy the movies, my impression is that the producers have captured the spirit of the HP novels, characters and world very well, even if a movie never can be the same as the original book. Alan Rickman really brought Severus Snape to life on screen, may he rest in peace.

After being an avid HP fanfic reader for quite some time (I am really amazed in regards to how many wonderful stories and authors there are out there), I now decided that the time was ripe to write my own story, in order to contribute to the world of fanfiction, practice my writing and share my stories with you. As an aspiring author, all feedback is greatly appreciated.

Besides my two stories here "Your Eyes" and "The First and the Last Sight", I have also published a few additional HP poems on fanfiction.net, those also dedicated to our beloved Potions Master, told in his voice. I have also published a Bible poem, entitled "Is there a Purpose?"

If you like poetry, I have recently founded a new Community, dedicated to high quality HP poetry in general, the "Harry Potter Poetry Archive". Currently, there are about 40 poems in my collection, if you would like to take a peek.

While my poems are set in the canon HP universe, I in general prefer AU stories. If you are going to read/write fanfiction, why follow the canon plotline exactly, I find that kind of boring. It is more interesting to put the characters into new contexts and situations, and explore what will happen. To me, that is one of the points of fanfiction.

As I see it, fanfiction is a way to further explore the original work, its characters and world, and the Harry Potter novels certainly contain so many layers to discover ...

    Wow, that was an intense and powerful chapter! Loved your use of Batman, and that Harry was able to open up to Snape about the Dursleys... He truly is Harry's Batman!

    An intense bonding chapter, hopefully, Snape will be able to do something about the situation.. I am sure he will, because he is Harry's Batman.

    Batman as the connection device in the discussion.... just brilliant, very psychological, I really like your writing style.... :)

    Oh, that was such a sweet chapter...

    Severus worrying about Harry's eating habits, and Harry calling him dad/daddy for the first time, and Ilove his new name, that McGonagall is his adopted grandmother... very sweet bonding chapter.

    Nice twist with Lucius as Sev's best friend and a spy for the light.

    Wow, that was a dramatic start! Intense, and a lot of action... Poor Harry, even if the Dursleys are not the best caretakers, it must be a shock for him that they were murdered... Was Voldemort not really involved in the attack? But, why, then did he kill Narcissa?
    I loved the reconciliation, kind of bonding moment, when Harry came to let Snape enter his mind, showing his memories... that was very touching.... Will be interesting to see how Draco and Harry will get along...

    Interesting start! :) Quite unusual plot with a girl Harry ... but why on earth have the Dursleys invented the game? And it seems like the wizarding world also believes she is a boy...As you said in your note, it is confusing... but I am sure it will be explained later on... I am intriguied, will be interesting to see how it all unfolds...
