Awwwww. Harry is so sad. And adorable. This chapter kills me with its awesomeness. Great job.
After Harry is caught for exploding a cauldron in 2nd year Potions, Snape insists he keep a firm hand on the boy he must secretly protect. However, he discoveres that there is more to the twelve year old than unruliness and disrespect. Similarly, Harry learns from and gains a new perspective of his professor.

Brilliant, as usual. I love the fight between Harry and Ron - so realistically little boyish - and the predicament with Harry the Trouserless, Snape, and a jump saftey-pin. It was a wonderful chapter, and I'm already looking forwards to another update! You really capture the characters as they are in the books, without having to resort to fanon to make them suit your plot, which is wonderfully refreshing.
Author's Response: I'm glad you thought the fight was realistic...Ron was beginning to drive me nuts, so I had to do something...lol. (Funny how I characterize these kids and then shake my head at them...) Thank you very much for such a wonderful review. I definitely laughed outloud at "Harry the Trouserless" :)

What can I say beyond brilliant as always? You complimented my imagination in a review for Boy's Adventures, but I think for you it goes double! Your chapters are always such an enjoyable read. You write twelve year old Harry realistically; I see a little boy with messy hair and glasses when I read this, instead of the adult in a smaller body that many tend to turn him into. I love your portrayal of Harry as JKR wrote him, as a kid with an enormous responsibility on his shoulders, who is still, beyond anything he has ever lived through, a very childish, very young, very naïve little boy. Wonderful.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I was a bit worried about this chapter, thinking it was too boring and maybe even a bit dorky, but I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I need to quit beating myself up before I post, I guess...lol. I love the fact that you approve of my version of Harry... I don't try to make him deliberately annoying...just twelve. Again, thanks for the great review!

I like where you're taking this, and I like seeing Harry with a mum who obviously likes him a lot.
Only one thing, really? Elementary is really a very American term for primary school, which is what Harry attends. It just seems odd having an English school called "Elementary". Other than that it was very good.
Oh, and it also might be good to look into UK television channels, as it's not quite like America. Ofcom really regulates everything, and the BBC have quite a lot of pull.
Author's Response: Thanks for pointing that out! I'll go back and correct that error. I'm glad you are enjoying this so far and thanks for taking the time to review!
After the Dobby incident at the beginning of the second book, Harry runs away, and Snape kidnaps him. In an old-fashioned house with no comforts and a huge black dog, Harry finds himself at Snape's mercy as Snape plays mind games and makes Harry live through different scenarios. Though Snape seems crazy and psychotic, Harry begins to see reasons behind Snape's sporadic behavior. There is corporal punishment, but it is different from what I've written before. This is a Mean!Snape story for the most part. If you're looking for a cuddly story, go elsewhere please.

This is so amazing, I can't even tell you. I love that you don't hesitate to make Snape the nasty git he can be. I love him and everything, but the way you write him is so much more realistic than most people - it's so refreshing not to have a Snape bending over backwards to help poor, unloved little Harry. And Harry is not pathetic! He fights back! I love this. I'd always thought of Snape as a poor man and was so frustrated when everyone placed him in mansions - your description of his house is actually the closest I've ever heard in fanfiction to what I've always imagined it as. The two rooms upstairs and two down, the tinyness, the depressing oldness - and the dog is a wonderful touch. I'm so excited to read the next chapter. Please update soon.

Awww, poor little Harry. Dan Radcliffe was so adorable when he was that young, too. I remember that film on the telly - he made such a good Davie! I had that imagery all through my head this chapter. Wonderful job.

Well, this is certainly an unseen side of Snape. I like, and I don't usually like Nice!Snape stories, but this one was well done, the writing was intriguing, and the idea seems like it could turn into a cool one.
One thing, really: For an English person like Sev, or even an Italian learning English, the terms for grandmother and grandfather are far more likely to be Grandmum, nan, or grandmother, and granddad or grandfather. Grandma and Grandpa are really an American thing.
Besides that I'm impressed. I would like to see more of this with the next update!
Author's Response: Hey, thanks for the review - I'm certainly amazed by the compliments but very grateful so thank you! I did think about calling them grandma and grandpa but for some reason (and I don't know why) but it seemed to fit whilst I was writing it and so I decided to leave it at was. Besides, I'm English and I always called one set of grandparents grandma and grandpa and the other nana and grandad just to differentiate...just personal preference I guess!
Thirteen-year-old Harry is forced into the body of another Harry in a parallel world, where Snape adopted him years ago. And Snape is enraged to discover that his son has been replaced by a stranger. In our world, Snape discovers a new Harry--one who sees him as a father he never wanted to be. Each Harry must learn to survive in a strange new world, and search for a way home.

Oh, this is so brilliant! I've never read anything like this. And Snape is still in character - good! I'm so excited to see where this is going.
Author's Response: Thanks! I re-read PoA while writing this in the hopes that I could keep this Snape in character despite his very different life experiences. A wife and son can change a person, but he can still have that sunshiny personality we know and love!
