Severus Snape was discovered as a spy mere days before the start of the school year. Thankfully, Albus had been working on a vague contingency plan for this possibility. It had been inspired by the question, “What would it take for Severus Snape to see that he was wrong about Harry Potter?”

The answer? Force Severus to go undercover as Alfonse “Eli” Hopkirk, a sixth year Gryffindor.

    Ginny is being so mature and insightful, its gonna be so great to see their relationship develop along the story.
    I guess Alfonse will remain a prick for the first few chapters (ir first many chapters, given the way he's not putting ANY effort into getting to know Harry.), he makes me want to kick him. Dumbledore's words hold so damn true, "You see what you expect to see."
    I love the way that Neville just solved the problem passingly, as if he couldnt even see what the problem was.
    Would we see Luna too???? Soon????
    I really like the story so far!

    Author's Response: You can definitely expect to see a lot of Ginny! I wouldn’t expect much romantically because Harry just has too much going on, but who knows the characters have minds of their own sometimes lol. Snape will definitely be a prick for a while yet- he won’t suddenly wake up one day and be like huh I completely misjudged Harry Potter for the past five years!!! Time to mentor him!!!! Like it just doesn’t work like that. We simply have to stan Neville- he’s the only sane one out here djjdjd. You can definitely expect to see Luna soon, but between Harry’s self esteem issues and her own newness to friendship, they’re gonna need an impetus to further their relationship which I fully intend to give them. Thank you so much for the review!!

    I... wow. I'd read this person saying how their teacher once taped their left hand to the desk to force them to write with their right hand, and damnit that's just cruel? That school teacher? Poor Harry. The Dursleys were always freaks. So excited to see the conversation between Harry and Snape go. Awesome first chapter.
