    I've read this a dozen times and really love it. The interaction between Harry and Snape is great and I honestly love how you wrote a different version of James Potter than what is usually seen.

[COMPLETE] After Harry blows up Aunt Marge and catches the Knight Bus to Diagonalley, he decides to take charge of his life when he learns he’s being sent back to Four Privet Drive. Harry spends the summer turning life in Diagonalley on its head, trying not to worry about the murderer Sirius Black, and attempting to avoid Severus Snape. In the midst of this he finds himself embroiled in an intense legal battle against Albus Dumbledore to decide his future. For the first time his fate rests solely in his own hands, and depend on the decisions he finds himself being forced to make. Harry wishes he could just be a thirteen year old boy, and begins to wonder if he’ll ever have the childhood he desires the most.     I'm so looking forward to the court trial! idk i just really love when trials show up in fics *shrugs*. I love how determined Harry is here, he's turning into quite the businessman, but it's clear he's still trying to find his way. i'm looking forward to seeing what Snape is thinking about all of this!

Being sorted into Slytherin must have been a mistake. How could it have been anything else? Harry Potter MUST be a Gryffindor. He has to be! Why would the Sorting Hat put him anywhere else? It must me a mistake. Surely the Headmaster can fix this!

It wasn't Severus' fault that Harry was allergic to Veritaserum, or that Harry had been sneaking around the dungeons after curfew. How was he to know the boy would react badly? Those were the excuses he gave to the Headmaster when questioned about his (questionably legal) actions, but Dumbledore wasn't buying it. Now Severus is stuck with the annoyingly truthful brat for Christmas. Wonderful. In response to the Faux Pas challenge by Alexannah. Rating for language is because of one sentence with curse words in chapter two. Rating for self harm is harm on accident on Harry's part. Short story, only three chapters.
