- I'll admit I'm not sure about where this is going. Ron having his suspicions is maybe fine, and Neville wondering about the options, but Hermione with her self righteousness is pretty much guaranteed she's going to take it to Dumbledore or someone else that means it gets back to Dumbledore anyway. And then Elias and snape are both in a helluva lotta trouble. I gotta admit -- again-- lol that I'm I'm ridiculously impressed with your Tonks. The fact that she recognized the pattern, found Dumbledores trail, and had the brilliance of mind to make copies both of her memory and the documents.... I mean she is truly a work of art in this story. I'm excited to see her role continue and grow even more significant. I swear I'm trying to not go into a long rant like usual lol I just have so many thoughts as I'm reading. Draco convincing everybody to eat potatoes is such a draco thing to do. He doesn't understand but what he does understand he takes and runs with it lol and snape realizing how big Harry's project really is, that's brilliant too! I mean no one has studied this and it's crazy not to cause muggles haven't been hiding in a dark corner somewhere. They've been inventing and creating and destroying and growing as a species while the wizarding world still thinks they're churning butter in the yard. It's like an uprising that's not even am uprising. Just a quiet tide that could easily wash over the whole wizarding world. I mean, one bomb + 1 disgruntled squib or muggleborn who can point out its location, and bye bye Hogwarts .... swear I really tried not to ramble. Feel free to ignore me

- Couldn't believe it when snape took 75 whole points but then I thought about it and yep dad!snape would definitely do that for endangering his son. Poor draco, just wanted to give Elias a little bit of fun and now he's lost his broom, has detention, and has cost slytherin more points than they've ever lost from snape. Hopefully slytherin isn't too angry with draco or Elias about it. They'll just have to kick butt in the next quidditch matches is all. Surprised severus didnt quarantine Elias to their quarters lol, I was exp rid acting him to go nuclear like nope from now on you can have meals, tutoring and everything else in our quarters period. Glad he didnt of course. It's interesting to see, it's just hitting harry that "phuck, this is real. This is my life now. And screw the BWL lock. This one isn't going to be fixed by a night in the medical ward and some skelegrow or a Phoenix tear..." I think it's really important that he has this time to come to that realization though. I mean, he's been living like one day he wont need to be Elias again I think but the reality is he will never be Harry Potter again
Author's Response: I'm really glad someone is sitting here analyzing these chapters like this.... It makes me really really excited for posting the next few chapters because I often wonder if people are catching some of the clues I've been putting in about how things are going to go down in the rest of the story.

- Oh it's definitely gotta be the fulgurs. I mean it affects Elias' magic right that's why it's so dangerous; so its gotta be poisoning the horcrux too, making it too weak to keep a line open for Voldie to manipulate. So when he missed a dose and it left his system he was vulnerable to the connections and the crucio he put on severus hit harry too I guess.... if Dumbledore had just told severus about the horcrux by now, or the full prophecy even, severus would be in a much better position to keep Elias safe from both sides. As it is, I have a bad feeling snape is about go have to choose. and soon. I mean he cant keep risking his life to lie to Voldie after he just killed nott (with snapes own spell even!), and he cant go all in for Dumbledore cause Dumbledore would still use Elias for his chess game and he wouldn't give half a crap if both snape and Elias die in the doing (he'd probably prefer that avtually). I thought maybe the headache in last chapter had another motive than just the weather changing but then this is Elias and everything's going to be new, in a way, y'know. You cant just expect there to ever really be a "routine" considering he could spasm and stop breathing one second or have a seizure the next. I know I said it once but again, happy birthday to you! And thank you for these awesome chapters

- Not mad at all, I loved this chapter. Sure it was low on "action" but it definitely furthered the plot in a big way-- I mean severus is intelligent. Now he's aware of what's happening and why and how, the only thing to do left is find a way to fix it and he's the youngest potions master in like a century or something I think. He'll fix it. Horcrux what horcrux! Thanks for the chapter!

- Idiot! She's going to go rambling to Lupin who'll figure it out and Merlin knows he'll go to Dumbledore. Poor Elias, I know he's afraid of port keys,but it's the safest way to travel in his condition and I don't see that changing. Apparation had him laid up sick when snape took him room the hospital, and even as harry he couldn't exit a floo without tripping. I hope the doctors paperwork holds up; snape really needs to figure something out about the old lightning bolt scar if ever Elias can be really safe. Great chapter as usual
Author's Response: I know it’s not really well explained, but the old lightning bolt isn’t visible, just the tail ends of the bolt itself. He is, however, bleeding under the skin and is bruising in that area. Glad you’re enjoying! Much more to come!

- I am honestly terrified of how much I'll write if I comment on every single thing I loved about this chapter like I reeeeeally (God I reallllly do) want to. So I'll try and content myself with a quick (1) love the story and the research you put into it (2) so freaking happy he's finally awake (3) I couldve smacked that grandmother over the freaking rainbow for hitting the boy-- her fault he was angry anyway! (4) the actual pronunciation of his name is really cute and I'm definitely sticking to it from now on! (5) he remembered his da! (6) awwww "I sto bweefin" 🥲🤗🥰 I can't breathe for the bloody feels!

3: I know right! Like wtf don't hit kids anyways! Let alone kids with powers!
4: I've loved that pronunciation for a long time and literally cannot read the name with the English pronunciation anymore. Same with the name Julia; 100% pronounce it Yoo-lee-ah like my German friend says it.
5 and 6: His brain may be muddled, but I figure let the kid have at least some memory of the major events of his life. For good and for bad.

- I'm so 😟 worried! Missing the flugurs put him in mungos in the first place. Now with a lower dosage, will it even be effective enough to help him? Glad the nurse didn't pay it any mind when he said he is harry potter but Dumbledore had eyes and ears everywhere so I'm also worried that that'll be passed along even if it's just someone saying it as a funny work story. Also worried cause why do doctors always want to affect people's mood like geez-- just ranting lol I understand why they want to go this route-- but he's a teenager and he's already going through hell. Was not surprised but very happy remus wants to continue the project(honestly I'm almost just as invested!)

Hahahah, you should be worried. You should be very worried. We're playing a very delicate balancing act here.
As a nurse, I've had patients tell me they are any number of things. My all time favorite was a guy telling me that he was Jesus on Easter Sunday. I wished him Happy Easter (I couldn't resist) and he just snapped "PAGAN HOLIDAY" at me. It was all I could do to not just keel over from laughing so hard. This same guy also claimed to be Nostradamus and that he was the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs. In short, I wouldn't expect anything to come of it. Confused/demented/schizophrenic patients at St. Mungo's probably routinely claim to be Harry Potter.
Doctors/Healers effecting peoples moods comes down to two factors 1: is this person a danger to themselves or others and 2: will giving this medication cause more harm than good. In Elias's case, he is routinely trying to do actions which could harm himself or the staff. Biting, hitting, spitting, etc is assault and if other methods of de-escalation have failed (i.e. Healer Tallie keeping him busy with puzzles/coloring pages and sitting in with him to keep him calm) chemical means come next followed by physical restraint. There is a real cascade of techniques being followed here. Once the muscle relaxers are out of his system, there is a much higher chance of him causing damage to himself or others when he gets confused as he is already biting and hitting staff, so the question of will this cause more harm than good definitely comes in here and at this point they don't really know how much Fulgur will be effective in keeping Voldy out. Such a lovely balancing act, yes?
More Remus in the next chapter! I think you'll like where the project goes. Or I hope so anyways.

- First off I really like Shannon-- when she said what the he'll is going on at hogwarts I felt it in my soul! Lol 😆 and second, I know remus said "no" and that he wouldn't elaborate but was he saying no as in "no you guys aren't wrong"? Cause that would be a total violation of both snape and Elias trust. I mean I get they're his friends but is their comfort in knowing where harry is really worth his life? Cause if anybody finds our harry is Elias, there's like a 90% chance he'll die. Voldemort will be all to happy to do it with his vulnerable he is. Dumbledore would do anything to have control over harry again. I just don't think sating Hermione's should be on par with saving Elias life. Other notes, though, remus in a muggle library is so amusing. I keep trying to figure out this project for myself too but I just come up with "muggles and wizards all have electricity as a source but for wizards they can manipulate it as magic. Muggled manipulate it in other ways" but but I have to wonder why. I mean why fo they manipulate it differently? What makes them intrinsically different? And couldn't muggles really just be squib? Does anyone test them for a magical core or something? I mean how do they know there's no such thing as a completely non-magical person? Then snape killed me when he shot down the possibility of lily being from a squib line-- wouldve been much easier to handle than the poor the poor being a horcrux. Also, does Elias have hazel eyes now? Or was that another patient in the ward who'd been eavesdropping? If it's Elias, I hope he was in a lucid state or else he not going to take that well at all. So totally awesome a chapter

The Remus/Hermione conversation gets wrapped up in the next chapter, no worries. Or worries. Whatever you choose.
Remus in the library will be a bit of a recurring thing here for a bit. Including a bit of Remus vs. an early 90's computer. That was fun to write. As for the project, all will be revealed in time. *mystery jazz hands*
I imagined Snape having looked up Lily's heritage or used a potion or something back when they were in school and he was hearing all of the 'good' things about purebloods and the 'bad' things about muggleborns. It's very easy to vilify a group of people but say "oh but this one person is fine" and I can definitely see Snape trying his hardest to prove his best friend wasn't what the Slytherins were calling her.
Yeah, it was Elias. His eyes darkened up a bit when the potion failed. And as it was lunch time, it puts him in prime 'lucid' territory. But lucid or not, I don't think he'd take finding out he has a fragment of Voldemort's soul in him well.
