When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.
Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH.

- This is such a great story, it made me stay up late when finishing it. Your characterisation is spot of in my opinion. I'm really glad you decided to come back and finish it.

- New chapter! Oh, I couldn't wait for this. Voldemort's reaction have me puzzled but I guess it does make sense. I wonder if Severus already knows Harry is missing and what is his reaction to the news... Anyway. I need moooooore, so much more. I think I'm addicted to this story tbh.

- I knew it! Crabbe was too careful from the beginning to be Crabbe, that so awesome! I have a feeling Lucius is on it too, given the previous chapter, with the way he was acting and Severus suddenly being able to locate Harry. Anyway, great chapter!

- Every time I read a new chapter of yours I promise myself that this will be the time I will write a good comment, one which will communicate how much I love this story and how it became some sort of ritual to check for updated every Friday and Saturday. Which is exactly why I've not left a comment right after reading the last two chapters, because apparently I'm terrible at articulation. - Loved it, especially how much Harry wants to connect with others and how much he thinks he doesn't deserve it. It really plays well with they way the Dursleys treated him over the years, like he was a bother. Your characterization in on point in my opinion.
