When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.
Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH.

- Oh, I loved this chapter. Dumbledore’s “come along, my boys” was such a nice line, and it made me giddy just reading it. I live for the Dumbledore/Snape/Harry interactions (and not least because you write them so well)!
I also really appreciate how you’re pacing out Harry coming out of the potion and transitioning into Hogwarts. The end of the Voldemort Arc is pretty significant, and you’re doing a great job of not rushing it. Is it too cheesy to say it feels just right? 😉
I also found it really interesting how Harry didn’t remember his time with Voldemort. It was a unique little twist that I didn’t expect, and made the last bit of this chapter all the more bittersweet :( Can’t say I’m not looking forward to Snape getting over himself and accepting his newfound role in Harry’s life.
With that said, I hope you enjoy your vacation! These are super stressful times we’re in, and just for writing alone I’d say you deserve it. Can’t wait until you’re back!

If it is too cheesy, then lay on the cheese, lol! Thank you so much for your kind words. I've really tried throughout this entire fic to not rush plot points, so it's nice to get that feedback when it's working. :) And I'm really not in the mood to drag things out more than they need to be, so don't worry too much about Snape staying away for long. ;)

- I re-read this entire story about twice every week between updates. I can't wait for the next one! The plot is really interesting and engaging– I can't get enough of Snape and Harry's interactions. I have to say I look forward to seeing how they'll fare in school. Wonder if Dumbledore will be proud of the bond they formed when they were imprisoned together? I strangely picture a meeting in Dumbledore's office between the three of them where Harry just makes a sarcastic remark or something to Snape, and Dumbledore just stands back, shook at how the world literally ended because he could *swear* that was almost a smirk in Severus's face. Whatever comes though, I'm sure it'll be good. Can't wait for more of the boys! Stay safe during this pandemic!

With the anniversary of the defeat of Voldemort fast approaching, the Wizarding World is finding it hard to bounce back. It is then that a certain Trio (plus one) find a chance to fix things the first time around far too good an opportunity to pass up. Harry hopes to save those he lost, including a certain Potions Master.
