- I know that I'm over ten years late to the party, but I just finished reading this and A Summer Like None Other. I could hardly put it down the whole time I was reading it. This is one of the best HP fics I've ever read. I really like the events of Half Blood Prince, but I love that it wasn't used in this story, because it makes this story so refreshingly different from other fics.
AU. Time Travel. Snape goes back in time, holding the knowledge of what is to come if he fails. No longer holding a grudge, he seeks to shape Harry into the greatest wizard of all time, starting on the day Hagrid took Harry to Diagon Alley.

- When reading an already finished work, I usually don't review until the end, but I just wanted to say what a great story this has been so far. While I like time travel stories and stories where Harry is sorted differently, I'm also always hesitant to read them because often they follow the original plot too closely, so they get boring. But this one doesn't fall into that trap at all. It is very engaging. And I don't think it's unrealistic at all that things are changing so much and so fast. Severus held nothing back, making major changes right off the bat, so of course there will be drastic repercussions. I look forward to reading the rest.
Harry finds the book from the fifth year of the Half Blood Prince, and there's a co-author to it. He will discover who is the Half Blood Prince at all costs.

- I've really enjoyed this story so far. I usually try not to read stories before they're completed, but I was drawn in by the title, which made me laugh. I especially enjoyed Snape's interactions with Umbridge and his and Lily's notes in the book; it really makes their friendship come alive. And of course I also like it when he's protective of Harry.
That last scene was great as well. It's not often we get to see Snape make such a fool out of himself, and he doesn't even realize it.
