Hmm, what to say... love Harry, love Snape, put together they're better than hot fudge on icecream! Maybe I'll even try my hand at writing for HP one day, in the meantime I'll stick to reading and spoiling my Papillons :) [Report This]

Sickly and neglected by his caregivers, little Harry would not have survived were it not for the mysterious dark angel who watched over him, caring for him when he was sick. Harry never knew his name, until he attended Hogwarts and discovered a certain teacher bore a remarkable resemblance to his savior.

You've got Harry playing Slytherin twice in a row. The chapter where his broom went berzerk had Slytherin players, and again the team is playing Slytherin. It's too soon for it to be the final playoffs of the year, especially when there hasn't been any mention of other quidditch games played.

Author's Response: Actually my timetable is correct, if you follow the original book, since right after the Forbidden Forest the trio finishes the year and goes after the Stone.  I mentioned another game before the one in this chapter where they played Ravenclaw, but months have gone by, even though i didn't mention any of the other games, Harry did play them.  Sorry if it was confusing, but my main focus wasn't Quidditch, but the quest for the Stone.

At the beginning of second year, Severus agrees to become Harry's guardian, little suspecting the far-reaching effects of this decision.

(Note: The story was also published - in pieces - on Fan Fiction Net, under the titles "Finding a Family", "Losing a Book", "Adding One More", "Sharing a Family", "Saving a Friend", and "Finding a Home".)

I dearly love your Draco's personality. He's a perfect mix of elitist snob and child.

In the books he's so flat and static compared to the changes the Trio undergo. Here he's changing bit by bit from his father's clone to being a little boy finding his own personality. You've given them all room to be *children* and I have absolutely enjoyed taking the time to stroll through your version of JKR's universe :) I am also dearly hoping for a sequel to this family goodness

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I honestly had NO intention (read "zero") of even including Draco when I started. I never liked the character in the books (for all the reasons you described) and had no thought of including him in MY version of the universe. But - as often happens - my muse had other ideas, and I ended up writing WAY more about him than I'd ever intended. And in the end, to my shock, I ended up liking him (well, my version of him). Go figure!! Anyway, thanks so much for the review! I'm not sure about a sequel, but I'm certainly being motivated to think about it by reviews and encouragement like yours. :)
