I'm really impressed by "My Dear Boy." It's a fresh and fun concept. Every chapter has a surprise and a plot twist. Your characterizations are wonderful. I can see Snape, Ron and Albus just as you described them. I expect that Hermione will stand by Harry - she's well-read enough to know the classic definition of intelligence. The Turing test; if you can't tell whether it's intelligent or not, then it's intelligent. Harry was seeded with a soul - therefore he's an ensouled, intelligent personality. Granger *understands* artifical intelligence - it won't scare her...
