About me:

Happily married for 20 years, this coming October.  Two lovely daughters, four lovely grandkids.  I always knew Snape was the most interesting character in the series!  I love good writing, especially with good spelling and good grammar. [Report This]

A YEAR LIKE NONE OTHER and both its sequels are some of the very finest non-JKR Harry Potter fiction around.  Your plotting is good because it's multi-faceted.  You don't bring in all sorts of other non-HP characters.  Most importantly, your characterizations are believable, and canon-like.

You, Theowyn and jharad17 are my favorite authors at P&S.  I don't throw those words around lightly; I mean it as high praise indeed.  Well done writing!

2. Gillian
Gillian, your work is quite good.  I really love "Mine" and its sequel.  You're next on my favorites listing!
3. jharad17

Dear JHARAD17:  I have enjoyed everything of yours that I've read.  Your writing is very good indeed, and your characterizations of Severus and Harry are quite believable.

I've really liked WHELP and its sequel.  Both WALK THE SHADOWS and BETTER BE SLYTHERIN! are also excellent.

I am favoriting you as an author, which I do not do lightly.  Theowyn, Aspeninthesunlight, and now you, are the authors here at P&S I consider truly worth reading.  As Dumbledore once said, "Well done, Slytherin, well done!"

4. lyra
lyra, your stories capture young dysfunctional Harry with Severus very well. Your READING THE SIGNS was beautifully angsty, and quite touching.  Well done indeed!
5. Theowyn

This was the first fanfiction I ever read.  I searched "Theowyn/Michele Nanjo" and was amazed to find this title.  I initially found it on Sugarquill, but then found it here.

I cannot begin to tell you what a great writer I think AND feel that you are! I finished both this and its sequel within a few days.

I only knew you before from Leaky Lounge. Since Book 7 is long done, I really don't go there that much anymore.  Neither do you, which is why I thought to "google" your name.

I'm so glad it led to this site! I didn't even know of its existence.  Now that I do, I've been reading a lot of the stories.  I still think you're probably the best, the closest to JKR's vision of what the characters are like.  Not that I haven't enjoyed stories where Snape is little more mentally balanced!  But it's not really the same as the nature Jo delineated, is it?  Your vision has better--and more believable--plot twists, plus everyone 'feels' closer to canon, as I said.  This and your "Souls" work better for me than Deathly Hallows.

Anyway, nice to "see" you here, Michele.  If you weren't such a good writer already (at Leaky), I'd never have looked for more of your work.  What a loss if I hadn't! As it is, I'm kind of glad I didn't earlier.  This way, it's been like having more HP books to read!

Best regards,

Loya Darling
