After the Dobby incident at the beginning of the second book, Harry runs away, and Snape kidnaps him. In an old-fashioned house with no comforts and a huge black dog, Harry finds himself at Snape's mercy as Snape plays mind games and makes Harry live through different scenarios. Though Snape seems crazy and psychotic, Harry begins to see reasons behind Snape's sporadic behavior.

There is corporal punishment, but it is different from what I've written before. This is a Mean!Snape story for the most part. If you're looking for a cuddly story, go elsewhere please.

    This story was incredibly beautiful and poignant. It was pretty dang funny, too, watching the alternate-universe Harry interact with known-world's Snape... but I think I liked best how the alternate-universe Snape came to know and love our Harry, even though at first he resented him and thought he was a brat. Not gonna lie, the ending made me cry. Great story.

    This story and A Year Like None Other are great. I really loved watching all the relationships grow and change, especially between Harry and Draco. I also thought Draco was very well done--how his change in beliefs was gradual and trailed behind his change in loyalties. Normally you'd expect it to be the other way around, but this was completely realistic. I loved how they all became a family!

    I really liked the conversation between Flitwick and Draco. Sad, though. And even though most people with those views are slightly better at hiding them/being more subtle about it, I know people with exactly those sorts of views--so it was entirely believable. *Sigh*

    I loved this story. I loved seeing Harry finally get a well-deserved childhood, I loved how Severus got to keep Bell Point house (I can think of no better thank you for his years of service), and I loved your rendition of the Dursleys getting their comeuppance (it was both humorous and satisfying).

    Oh, and I'm also an Anne of Green Gables fan. :)
