About me:

I love gen fics in general and I've gotten addicted to Snape and Harry's relationship according to fanfiction. I like them being forced to come to terms with each other and neither being happy about it. [Report This]

Certainly has a different take than most other writers.

Outside of the Unforgivables series, this is the only writing of Snape I've ever found to be 100% in character. He's a mess. Not only is he a reprehensible person, he's also non-functioning one, completely broken. He's repeatedly abusive to Harry, even when he wants to help him. And yet, I still like him. Yes, definitely canon accurate.

This author seems to have her thumb on all the characters, in fact. Harry is so /good/ it hurts. He might not think things through, he might hurt people in the heat of the moment, but in the end he always makes the right choice. He makes me want to cry with how much he makes of his bad situation. The author makes sense of Dumbledore in all his manipulative glory, and his relationship with Snape is fucking fascinating. And even the minor characters, Ron and Hermione, are just beautifully written, down to comfortable chess games and tiny smiles.

I really wish this author would write more. I'd love to see what she could do with someone like Draco, and I'd kill for a follow up of either of her stories. Every single scene is super charged with double meaning and has weight behind them. I'm in love.
