Reviews For Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat
And I love the way you ended this chapter, that message is just so very Severus ^^ I think the was you're portraying Harry - especially his fear of Severus getting close - really really well and I'm looking forward to reading more so I hope you can update soon ^^ Author's Response: :0) Heee thanks. Your review made me smile. :0) I'm already ten pages into the next chapter, so with any luck, it'll be out soon. (The only reason it wouldn't be is 'cause it looks like it's going to be LONG and I'm entering exam week.) Thanks for the review, and glad you like it!! Rhiannan
Great chapter! Author's Response: LOL, yeah. I know exactly how you feel. And Harry's an idiot, but then we people generally get attached to our families regardless of how they treat us. Honestly I find 'canon' Harry unrealistic in this respect. I could see him not wanting to see them OFTEN, but at all? I still visit my Dad and he's not an easy person to get along with, either. *shrug* Anyway, thanks for the review! Glad you like the chapter!
Author's Response: Hey chicky!! Why didn't you sign in? Don't you have an account on P+S? And I did notice that Snape didn't react, but it didn't seem appropriate at the time for him to do so. I'll have Snape think about it, though - that'll make it more clear that he DECIDED not to react. And lol with the keeping talking. I think I'll just keeping editing. It seems muching with the needing.
Looking forward to your next update. V. Author's Response: Yey! Thanks! I'm glad you thought it was good - there were a couple of people who didn't like this chapter and kinda killed my confidence in it. :0( But then people like you came along and said it was good, so much yeys! Thanks! Rhiannan
Author's Response: I'm not surprised, because that is generally how it goes - we remove children from abusive households, and they cry for their mommies. (Think about it - Stockholm syndrome can take hold in as little as 2 months when an ADULT is forcefully kidnapped. Now imagine a child BORN into an abusive household and living there for their entire life.) We are designed to make connections to the people we live with, no matter how much we dislike them. That's sorta what I'm going for with Harry. Thanks for the review! Rhiannan
Author's Response: Yey! Glad you like!! I'm working on getting Harry a little less angry, but I just couldn't picture him responding well to Snape's interference, still. And yeah, the Dursleys deserve to die. I dunno if Snape should kill them, but I can appreciate the sentiment. :0) Thanks for the review!!
"And here I thought chemical warfare was a horror the wizarding world would never know." - I loved that! And I liked how Harry actually came up with an experiment to see whether Snape would catch him, interesting idea! Author's Response: :0) Yey!! Glad you liked!!
Author's Response: Yey! I'm glad!
Author's Response: I understand your frustration, but please realize that two months is not a lot of time. Things should get happier, soon, but I'm not keeping Harry angry for the sake of 'drama' but rather for realism. People do not change that much in two months. That said, I appreciate the criticism, and your relatively balanced way of putting it.
Author's Response: Yey! Glad you liked! |
