    I'm so glad that Harry was able to see that Severus, despite his horrid mistake, really is a good, if flawed, man. Severus deserves a great deal of respect for what he has accomplished, despite his failings. He is human and fallible and that makes him all the more worthy of love in his son's eyes.

    Great chapter!

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I agree; Severus is much more worthy of respect than many others who, having lead easier lives, have never erred and Harry can see that, even though Severus made a mistake, he tried his best to rectify it.

    Awwwwwwwwwwww! What an amazing chapter!!! Poor Severus!!!!! Little Harry is so sweet, I just love him! Can't wait to see what's next!

    Mmmph...That wasn't easy for Sev. Yay on Harry getting his Parseltongue back, though! Kudos on a job well done.

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This has definately been one of the tougher chapters for Severus, more down to his own low self-esteem than anything else as he think's Harry will judge him as he's judged himself

    Egads, what a way to end the chapter.

    It was good of Severus to tell Harry the truth, but update and soon.

    I really like the character you've given Severus, and Harry's observations. He's not stupid, so I can't believe Severus has anything much to worry about.

    Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I've tried to base my Severus's personality on the canon preteen/teenage Severus, who is gentle, considerate and sweet- all I've done is make him rather more sophisticated lol! Harry is, indeed, highly intelligent and very empathetic but Severus has been treated with so little true kindness and has such a low opinion of himself that he is frightened that Harry will judge him as he judges himself.

    (by the bye - i think you did a great job with this conversation. i hope that harry is okay and that severus is able to talk him into seeing sirius and that sirius isn't too much of an idiot. maybe remus will help?)

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review; yes, I know I'm mean but updating every day means that I can afford to tease you all with one or two cliffhangers ;) I'm glad you think I did a good job on the conversation; it's always rather difficult to get dialogue to sound natural and spontanious, even when one of the characters is someone as erudite as Severus.

    I am very glad that Severus has decided to tell Harry about this. It is important that he is the one that does so as it will allow him the chance to explain why he made that unfortunate choice. Severus' childhood was fraught with mistreatment by his parents and peers and Voldemort's promises tempted him. He was young and did something extremely stupid; it was a mistake. In the end, though, he turned it around and used it to attempt to help to stop Voldemort. I hope that Harry will hear his plea for understanding.

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review; Severus definately had a tough childhood- all the exteunerating circumstances are there. However, I can't say any more because I don't want to give away spoilers
