Wonderful chapter from beginning to end. I enjoyed the spell that Severus used on Dudley and believe that it was exceptionally appropriate. Fawkes' reaction was another nice touch as well. Great work. I am looking forward to reading more. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I thought that particular spell would be exceptionally painful for Petunia, who cherishes Dudley as much as she abuses Harry and, also, be of benefit to Dudley, in that it will help him grow up a better man

I understand the use of the spell, but wish that she could actually feel how Harry did and experience his pain. I do hope that Dudley will truly revile her and make her feel terrible. Truly, it is a pity that Severus didn't dare to more at that time. I do hope that he can return later...:D

All of this could have been prevented if Vernon wasn't so blind to his wife's actions and if Dumbledork had actually bothered to check on Harry's welfare. You know what they say about hindsight...

    Great chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes, I know that Petunia does deserve to experience Harry's pain but I think, this way, she will experience more pain because she loves Dudley so much; the thought of him hurting will be more painful than enduring it herself. And, of course, losing Dudley's esteem will be yet another punishment.

The ending was funny in a gross way. However, when ever I hear or read "Oh dear." I think a commercial that aired one supper bowl for Career Builder. Yes. I have a weird brain and I don't know why I think the way I do. Anyways, keep up the good work and I'm glad Dumbledore is not stopping Harry from being removed from Petunia's care.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I don't think I've seen that advert but, then again, if it was for the Super Bowl, I guess I wouldn't have lol! I'm glad you're enjoying the story

Thats so sad. I really dont understand how some people can actually do these things. That being said, I really did enjoy this chapter. I am really itching to see how Harry is going to react to all of what has happened. Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. In real life, such abuse cases are rare but they happen- and worse- and it creates an interesting scenario.

Oh wow! You used one of my absolute favorite musicals!!!! :D We did that last year in my high school and I was the lead role, the Narrator. But it's been a family favorite ever since I was little. Fyi, just a side note: the actual official name is "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".

Just had to comment on that. I'm interested to see where this story is going.....I'd like to see some more Snape/Harry action, bring a bit of angst and drama. I know right now you're doing a lot of setting up, but I feel we've not seen enough into Harry's psych.

Author's Response: I know, it's taken me quite a few chapters to set up the situation but I thought it'd be more in keeping with Severus's character if he worked behind the scenes for a while- just as he did in Philosopher's Stone. However, from this chapter in we're going to be seeing a lot more Severus/Harry action: if Severus thought that he could discharge his duties by being a guardian angel- someone who watches over Harry without having much to do with him- he has quite another thing coming! Thanks for the review.

Author's Response: Thanks ^^: I know, I'm cruel with my cliffhangers but it was such a perfect place for one I couldn't resist lol!

Nice interaction between Harry, Draco, and Blaise. I liked Severus and Charity as well. I am looking forward to seeing what unfolds in the next chapter.
