Is Snape finally going to ask a question that Harry thinks he should ask?? I hope so!!! GREAT STORY!!!

Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad you're liking it. It might take me awhile to find the perfect way for Snape to ask...so that's my mission for tomorrow. Hopefully, he cooperates. :) Thanks again.

WOW! This chapter is so powerful. Even though Severus does not say the words, you can fell his love coming from the pages. Excellent chapter.

Author's Response: Thanks. In order to get into Snape's mind for this, I actually watched my favorite Snape saves Harry moments. I'm glad that you liked the chapter. :)

I hope that the letter cleared a few things up for Harry. Of course, it probably also created a few other questions and doubts. It will take time for both of them to ease into the new roles they have taken on...those of father and son.

Author's Response: So far, I think they're adjusting rather well. At least I hope that's how it's coming off to the readers. You are right, though, that they're just going to need to continue to ease into their roles. Thanks for the review. :)

I can't blame Harry for thinking that his essay was the reason Severus was avoiding him. The timing was certainly suspect. I know that Severus wants to protect Harry for some of the awfulness that he himself is forced to endure, but telling Harry nothing isn't going to make him feel anything but abandoned. Yes, he needs to keep the details to himself, but he needs to let Harry know that he is dealing with things unrelated to their relationship. It's not like Harry is a pychic, after all.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. :)

Pity, I was hoping to hear Flitwick talk about Grindalwald and how he was defeated. History of Magic sounds like such an interesting class, it is rather sad that no one ever seems to write about what is learned in it.

Not much development in this chapter. But I'm definitely looking forward to whatever increased conflict develops between Harry and Draco.

Author's Response: Sorry for not responding promptly to your review. I do give some details about Grindalwald in later chapters...namely "Dark Wizard's Downfall." So you might get some of what you were hoping for. I'd love to write a full class of History of Magic...I just don't know any of it. And you shouldn't have to wait too long for that conflict between the boys. :) Thanks for the review.
Title: Typical Tuesday: Family Portrait, Letters, and Punishment Essay 21 Jun 2010 10:03 am

I'm glad that Harry does have Severus, who sees him as who he is, not the Boy That Lived, or any other such nonsense, but simply as Harry. It rather disgusts me that the majority of the wizardry world doesn't see that Harry is simply a child, who deserves to be loved and cared for, not placed upon an impossible pedestal. I wonder what Severus reaction to this essay will be?

Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and I have a feeling that you might like Snape's reaction to Harry's essay. :)

Shouldn't there be some kind of safety laws? Like a Potions Safety Course that anyone working with potions should need to have, just to make sure they don't kill anyone? If one of the other students had been badly injured or died, I'm certain Dumbledore would have had to deal with the Wizarding version of a lawsuit.

It was interesting even with the more fantasical parts. Not much character development for Professor Vetor, maybe later on? There's so many good characters at Hogwarts who get ignored simply because people don't already know a lot about them.

I'm enjoying this story more and more with every chapter. I just don't often have time to read. :(

    Author's Response:

In Professor Vector's defense, she's nervous. I think it's explained in the next chapter from Professor Sinistra, but Vector really is the only one that is remotely close to Snape in brewing. She's just nervous, though, because she's really outside of her element. She's used to numbers, not dangerous smoking potions that can kill people. :)

She gets character development later on. When I was writing this chapter, I didn't have a lot of time so it had to be short. I'm just getting to her development, though. "Breakfast Oddities" is where we see Professor Vector the most. I agree with you about authors ignoring some good characters. I like to think I'm not one of those authors.

Well, thank you for leaving me reviews when you do get a chance to read. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

So good to see another update so quickly :) im looking forward to seeing what the punishment finally is lol

Author's Response: Personally, I think Harry gets off easy, but I couldn't think of a good Snape punishment so soon. :) I'm definitely going to keep updating quickly. I keep having more ideas with this story than my others. Thank for the review. :)

Ah...that discussion brings back memories. Little do they know, but they are already using what I call family speak. Now to get Severus to actually propose to Sinistra....

Author's Response: We're getting closer to that day. I first have to deal with Harry's punishment, which is the chapter I'm currently writing right now. We'll see if after this chapter, if Severus can finally ask. :D Thanks for the review.
