Thanks for the wonderful chapter. It was perfectly long and full. I enjoyed Harry and Justin’s creativity and industriousness, and your visuals of the River Almond. It feels like a peaceful place. I especially loved the touching moments and realizations between Harry and Snape at the end of the chapter. Thanks so much for this.

Lovely chapter, I loved the setting up house together. You described how Harry had decorated his room and I have had fun imaging how Dumbledore and Severus have decorated theirs. I imagine that Severus’ is in muted tones of dark green and brown, and Dumbledore’s is in clashing reds and touches of gold!
I think it was good that Albus stopped and thought about how he has treated Harry and Severus, and realised he is not always right.

I love hearing about the Alleys, I hope Harry will be allowed to go back, he needs this, almost, normal life.
My goodness, I feel so honored! Thanks so much for posting this second terrific chapter that same day!! I loved Dumbledore’s musings as he stood by Harry’s bedside, and really enjoyed Severus, Dumbledore, and Harry working together to make the Almond River house feel like a home. Thanks so much again.
I read all of Building Doors, then came to look at this one, unsure if I was going to read it, because it drives me nuts reading stories when they're not finished. I couldn't help myself. It's so cute, I love the dynamics and how well you portray Harry, mature in some ways and very neglected in others. I can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response: Another chapter will be up this week. I've been updating like crazy this week to make up for not having updated for a month. I've found that to be true of most if not all people, where they're more mature in some ways but not others, so I try to portray that in stories. It seems to be more noticeable in kids. I've seen kids be more mature than their age in some ways, and then turn around and act younger than they really are in other situations. Glad you're enjoying the story so far!
This is a really enjoyable series. I love stories where Harry gets to do other things than just what was in the books.
Author's Response: Thanks! That's good to hear! I sometimes wonder if people are put off by the fact that I have Harry going to different places and not just hanging around Hogwarts in a few of my stories.
I was so happy to see your wonderful sequel updated. This chapter had a great balance between introspection and action. Harry really values his freedom and entrepreneurial creativity, so I’m hoping his summer is full of both. Thanks for the great update, and I’m looking forward to the other chapter that you mentioned might be coming soon!
