Reviews For Where Once Was Light
Author's Response: You actually caught me! I thought about putting Harry's name in the letter, but Petunia was supposed to give the birth certificate along with the letter, which she did, so Lily knew that Harry would know his real name. Glad you're thinking though! And Lily would think that Harry would look at the certificate first, since it's a big, 'open' document, unlike the folded, sealed letter. Thanks for the great review!!
Author's Response: Aww! Thanks you. I'm glad you like it so far. Yeah, the stairs thing was a burst of inspiration, but I think it's turning out good. Thanks for the review!!
Loved how Vernon just kept putting his foot in his mouth, and when he realized that he had been insulting Severus' son, not to mention abusing him for years. Beautiful letter from Lily, but it was so sad. I'm looking forward to the next one! Author's Response: Thank you! You'll find out exactly what happens to Tobias and Eileen for that matter in a chapter way up aways yet I think. Don't feel bad about not liking Tobias. (no one ever really does!) But I'm glad you liked it!! Thanks again!
I did feel badly for Petunia, though I still can't excuse her going along with child abuse. She does need to get some help herself and get rid of Vernon, that git! I liked the image of Vernon scrubbing away and having to clean Hedwig's cage, lol. And oh, poor Dudley...playing video games may be only a fond memory now. I really enjoyed it! Author's Response: Yay! Glad you liked it!! I had fun with this one. I'm glad you got exactly how I was trying to depict Petunia! :) I wanted people to feel sorry for her, but not that sorry. She's on the road to recovery though. And Dudley's not going to like "Uncle Snape" any time soon! *Grins evilly* And you make your son study? Good for you! ^^ Although I admit I don't like to study ALL the time, I actually do take the time to study what interests me. Like, I read a whole bunch, pleasure reading as well as historical book (that I actually go out and buy AS pleasure reading) and then now, I'm practicing my writing skills, and when I watch TV it's usually only the History Channel or the Discovery Channel. (There's no really good shows on anymore *sigh*) But I think Harry's not going to stand a chance with a professor as a father. He's going to be learning all over the place! But I am glad you liked it! Thanks again!!
I always wondered in these stories when Harry discovers that he's not a Potter... What happens with the Potter vaults? Harry is the only heir, blood or not. Author's Response: Guess you're going to have to keep reading to find out! ^^ Thanks again for the review!!
Author's Response: O! Why thank you! I'm glad you like it!!
Lily's letter to Harry was great. They can be so typical and cheesy, but the way you wrote it conveyed Lily's emotions and reasons so well. There's even a small "parental warning" in the "It's not a difficult spell, but it needs to be precise." Good job. Author's Response: Yup! ^^ You get a chapter!! But I'm glad you liked the letter. I thought Lily would give her side of things before everyone else decided to make one up. You'll find out about Lily and Sev's hook up in better detail down the line. But thanks so much for the review!!
Author's Response: Hmm...maybe a hug is in order... Thanks for another great review!! Ten points to you!! (I've been a little point crazy today *shrug*)
Author's Response: Thank you thank you!!
