Reviews For Muggleville
I wonder what Severus did the whole day without Hoppity and Harry. He seemed to make himself scarce... Anyway, I loved the trauma of the bee sting. Good thing that Harry isn't allergic or things would have been much worse. I look forward to reading more soon. -P.G. Author's Response: Thanks so much for all your comments! :) It was lucky that Harry wasn't allergic to the bee sting. It would have been a mess if he had been! I think that Severus spent the day wandering around the park, maybe spying on the people around. I don't know for sure though, I think that's left up to our imaginations. :) I agree with you that Snape and Hoppity need to work better together, but it's partly Snape's fault too. Did he tell Hoppity that Harry couldn't jump on things? I don't believe so. In this way Harry is having difficulty with his guardians. To him, a trampoline isn't anything like a bouncy fun house. Hoppity probably wouldn't see a problem with either one, but Snape sees a problem with both. Maybe they will get some things settles after their "family meeting." I have to agree with you about the cliffy too. Long ago I decided not to do cliffies because they were so hard for readers to take, especially if you didn't plan to update the next day. I didn't plan on this particular cliffie, but Snape sort of orchestrated it on his own. That's why I'm glad that it isn't the sort of cliffy that makes people go insane. :) Thanks again!
very good thanks for updating Author's Response: You're welcome. :)
Aw, poor Harry. Snape is so strict, but I think that he was really scared for Harry's safety. I know that it is hard for Harry to understand, especially at that young age, but Snape's worry is coming out with his temper. He won't admit to himself that he's beginning to care for Harry, even a little. That was really sweet though, despite Snape's rough demeanour. I guess the family meeting is probably going to be centered around what Snape regards as Harry's lack of regard for his own safety, and what he conceives as Hoppity always undermining his authority. Poor Harry. I wonder if Snape will soften up a bit after that, or if Harry will still be grounded. That bee sting must have really hurt the poor kid though! I'm so anxious for the next update Jan. I love this story, as you know. Author's Response: Thanks so much Pandora! :) I love to read your comments, they always help me see things in the story that I miss or overlook, and help me plan out the next chapter sometimes. It's funny because I didn't plan a family meeting, but Snape apparently decided that it was needed. I was almost done with the chapter, and then he had to say that! It was a surprise for me too! He probbaly wants to bring up the issues you just raised, as well as some others. Snape pretty much sticks to his word, so if he says that Harry is grounded, then Harry is grounded. Hoppity's nature seems to try and undermine that though, so we'll see what happens. I'd like to go back and edit the scene with the bee sting a bit - that part just wrote itself too, and I didn't do much more than just write it. It seems like we could milk a few more sensations from it. But that probably won't happen as it's more importnat to move forward and have another update! :) Thanks for reading and for telling me what you liked and noticed in the chapter!
Author's Response: Hehe, maybe next month. It depends on when I get to sit down to write, and whether the characters are willing. :) Thanks for your review! :D
And what an ending! ::clunks head:: Family meeting??? About what? I'm not sure I can wait to find out! Sigh. Great job, as usual. I love this story. Already I can't wait for the next chapter! :D Author's Response: Thanks for the review! :) Yes Snape ruined the fun, but Harry forgot that he wasn't supposed to jump around. He is rather small compared to some of the other kids afterall. Luckily Snape was there to help fix the bee sting. Marvelous potions! I can't wait to find out what happens in the family meeting too! I wasn't planning on one, and then Snape had to go and say that! Funny when the characters write the story themselves. :) Thanks for reading!
Author's Response: Yes, they do. Thanks for your comments.
Author's Response: Aw yeah. but Harry has Snape to make it all better! :) Thanks for your comments!
I love the 'almost hug' that Snape gives to Harry (and carrying him to the car...trust Snape to make it all better! So what's up with the family meeting? I can't wait to read more, I hope all is well with you and RL, and that you are able to update soon. Happy Holidays! :D Author's Response: Thanks for your comments! You will have to find out about the Family meeting next time. It's not something I planned so we'll have to see where the characters take me. :) Hopefully I will be able to update again before Christmas.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! :) It is great to hear such things. I hope that you enjoy the next part of the installment.
I love your slow progression of snape and harry's relationship and the fact that they both seem to have a commentary on their changing characters, it makes it much more realistic than the fics where they dont notice their own softening or whatever (Im not entirely sure that made sense... hopefully you know what i mean ^^) One more chapter then I'll be waiting like everyone else, I'll say now that I cant wait 'til you update again but in the meantime I'm sure I'll reread this plenty, it's a truly wonderful fic ^-^ have fun x Author's Response: Oh I know what you mean. :) I believe that seeing the character growth and closeness from the character's perspective is important to truly believing the growth of the relationship. :) Thank you for your comments on the cp note. I also believe that it would not help Snape and Harry grow closer. Not in this story. Thank you for all of your comments, I truly enjoy reading them and hope that you will post many more! :) |
