Your dialog is lovely, and the story is really taking. It's one of my newest favorites. Absolutely great!
The only thing I want to mention is that there is no such word as "anyways" despite the fact that it's commonly misused all the time. The word you want is "anyway."

It's been almost a year, and I'm still hoping for an update. This is much too good of a story to be abandoned!
