Wonderful as always - I really love this story. I can't wait to see what Snape does when he finds out that Umbridge punished Harry for protecting those poor little kids.

Author's Response: <laughs evilly>  I did something a tad different to get rid of the woman.  Remember, OWLs are barely over with, so in the original timeline, which I didn't change all that much, the Department of the Mysteries is fast approaching.  I'm glad that you like this!

Very nice, I look forward to an update. I really like how your story flows. The way you describe certain situations and feelings is wonderful. Also I loved what the Weasley twins did to 'umbitch'!

    Author's Response: Thank you!

Woot! Great chapter! :) I liked that Snaoe helped Harry with his sheilds and the way you explained the part about stretching forth an imaginary hand. I liked your Snape a lot. Good job. I wonder what house the first years were in and why Draco and everyone were hurting them, are they practicing to be Death Eaters? Brrr... Your last line was great to close. Thanks for sharing!

    Author's Response:

Well, I never managed to explicitely state it, though we may find out more in later chapters.  The first years were actually from all four houses. It doesn't really matter to Harry; as far as he's concerned those that bully ickle firsties are scum.  After all, first years can't defend themselves.

As for Draco and Co, I'm not exactly sure why they decided to play with the children.  I suspect it has something to do with the fact that a Slytherin was playing with Mudbloods from different Houses, but the Junior Death Eaters aren't talking to me.  I have no intention of reforming Draco, BTW.  He's a spoilt brat and a bully--much of what Professor Snape has always thought Harry was.  (The irony of his favorite student being exactly what he has accused Harry of is not lost on me.)

Snape hasn't quite managed to justify what he's doing to himself yet.  He's lumping it all under keeping his promise to Lily.  If asked, he still claims to not like Harry at all.  We'll have to wait and see how far he's willing to go... <eg>

I'm happy that you're enjoying this, and an update will be coming fairly soon.

I've really been enjoying this story. In this latest chapter I especially liked how you talked about adults not being people Harry thinks of as trustworthy, because I've always thought of that as his main problem/motivation. I also wanted to thank you for waiting for your beta. I can't *not* read any updates set before me, but sometimes unbetaed chapters are *painful*.

    Author's Response:

Believe me, I understand.  I've seen far too many stories that are in serious need of an English translator.  ;)

I've always thought that part of Harry's problem is that he has never had adults that he can rely on.  For all intents and purposes, he raised himself.  Since Lily and James died, Harry hasn't had an adult that he could depend on.  I think that much of his behaviour, especially during the Trio's 'adventures' reflect that.

The Umbitch is getting out of hand as we well know.  The question becomes is the story following the book and having Sirius offed at the end of year 5?  If so how will they help him through it?  I don't think the book did an adaquate job of showing feelings for his godfather.  Keep up the good work and update again soon.

Author's Response: *laughs manically* I'm afraid that's a wait and see question.  However, I can safely say that Harry's issues will receive time, and he will work through them.   And thank you.  I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
