Reviews For Like poppy and memory
This chapter was beautifully written. The snap-shots of Severus' and Lily's friendship are bittersweet. You hint that Snape believes that Harry "saved" him (I'm looking forward to learning in what sense). He has had a year to ponder this, so I don't think it is forced for him to be thinking of Harry as "Harry." I am eagerly awaiting where you are going with this. Author's Response: Thanks for the reassurance! I appreciate your kind remarks.
Author's Response: Don't worry - Harry's still alive and he'll be back in later chapters. It's just that he disappeared after the final battle and has been declared dead by the Ministry.
Author's Response: Soon, I promise - next week at the very latest.
That was beautifully written and hopefully you will continue with it. Having said that I feel somewhat churlish to point out that in Scotland, we never drink 'Scotch'. Whisky, yes. Single Malt, quite often. More commonly yet our favourite single malt, such as Talisker or Laphroaig etc. Scotch is a term which is only ever used outwith Scotland to differentiate between Scottish whisky and other types such as bourbon etc. Author's Response: Thanks so much! I have to confess to knowing nothing about Scotch or any other whisky ... I would have followed the dictum "write what you know" but somehow I can't picture Snape sipping a chocolate martini. Anyhow, I appreciate the advice.
This is a great start. I have to admit, I've loved your oneshots, so I'm very excited about a longer fic. And I can't wait to see what's in the box! Thank you, and please continue.
I like where this is going. There is a long laspe of time, and you could draw out a mystery of what has happened. Give yourself space and time to develope characters and plots. Don't rush, and don't cheat the reader or yourself. Good job! |
