How could Severus be so obtuse?!
I like this smart version of Harry. Snape seems to be letting some of his revenge plans go, as he recognizes how futile they really are.
Vernon is truly vile to have made a child think he was sick. The scene at the chapters end was a stark reminder of how different James and Lily’s lives were.
I like how Harry is softening Snape without even realizing it. The transformation feels slow and believable.
I appreciate that Severus is feeding Harry, but am not a fan of asking Harry to cover up for him. I’m on the fence about this version of Snape!
I know this story isn’t finished, but I’m reading and reviewing anyway. It’s an excellent opening chapter. I really appreciate the point that Severus, as an accomplished Occlumens, can easily compartmentalize his feelings for Harry’s parents separate from Harry himself.
Such a shame this was never finished. It’s seriously good.

Will yu ever be continuing this?
Definitely a better solution than what happened in cannon having the Slytherins sent away from the dungeons where a troll was suppose to have been spotted, way to go. I enjoyed having Harry, Draco and Hermione safe together, with no need to encounter the troll. Severus's mutterings after being mauled by Fluffy were spot on.
Holy crap wtf Severus. Poor Harry and Draco :-(
Harry is clever, that's an awesome guise for his cache of food, it's fun to having Draco be the one to reveal this information too. I am hoping Draco stays on Harry's side.
