Is filling pockets with food something regularly done? I could understand necessity when I don't expect food and preparedness in case there is no food, but there isn't much food I would trust to eat if I carried it around in my pockets outside of sealed/packaged snacks. My pockets aren't big enough to actually carry around things I'd like to eat lol
I like seeing Draco take an active part in getting Harry to eat, it was comforting to see. My heart hurts for Draco and the abuses he suffers from his father.
Seeing Harry finally eat something outside of toast feels like victory.
I hope your friend Steph made it safely through her procedure and is recovered and well.
I enjoyed this chapter, it's good to know that Harry understands Severus is helping him even though Severus is justifying his motives as means of revenge, the fact that his actions are helping Harry that's what I care about.
I am so glad Draco noticed Harry and brought his worries up to Severus and that Severus is actually trying to help Harry.
Severu's 'revenge' is going along very nicely, though he does seem to loose track of his goals quite often...
"He wanted to soothe Harry, wanted to feed him and reassure him and mollycoddle him and he didn’t dare approach him for fear of worsening the situation." This is something I'd quite like to see, though - once more - the speed at which you're developing this is absolutely perfect.
I am quite surprised at Draco's actions - and his history! I do love the addition of it, but will admit it's not something I saw coming!!

PERFECT! Your progression with Severus' reasoning behind why he's helping Harry is very well done, very in character. I'm seriously enjoying the POV as well. It's quite a unique take on this type of story.
Your portrayal of Severus and his internal reasoning behind helping Harry is more realistic than I'm used to seeing - and I LOVE it! The selfish reasoning and the none too caring attitude he has towards Harry's plight (at least at this time in the story) is wonderfully done, making the character seem as he does in the novels (and extremely Slytherin to boot!)
So far I'm quite enjoying the take on these characters and looking forward to reading more!

Now that Dumbledoor has lanced the boil you have created a perfect setup for Snape to heal and fulfill his potential as a mentor to Harry. And so in turn healing Harry's wounds.
Will Narcissa be taking all 3 of them to the counselor?
Hope you come back and finish this story. I'd love to read an ending eventually.
That was a seriously good chapter! I loved the scene with Albus and Severus! That was just plain genius! I love the rest of it too! Harry is so sad. But I really love draco and how he's helped. Even though Severus has made mistakes, I you did a really good job with his emotions. it makes him more human. i love this fic! update soon!
